Can anybody tell whether the earlier Scorpio 2.6 and Scorpio Mhawk engine are the same or not? I mean is the Mhawk same improvised version of earlier 2.6?
S S Both are different. 2.2 isn’t based on 2.6.

I am thinking of buying a XUV500 AWD manual, just wanted to know if it has some kind of center differential locking or any mechanism to help it with the rough stuff, and also how well do you recommend it? (the local dealer has no idea about the AWD features)
Its gong to be my daily commute vehicle and people mover and I would love the AWD and take if off-road once in a while. I was slightly disappointed with the Jeep Compass as it lacked space for all 5 passengers and it is slightly expensive.

Amazing video, Anshuman. one request... when you ask the driver to select a particular gear, can you please explain in the video why are you suggesting that gear. for example when you ask him to be I am 2L.why did you suggest it. it would make us learn so much. Thanks in anticipation.
Comes with experience, there is a perfect gear for every situation, if the car stalling in 1st High, 2nd Low is to be used, if more speed is required, 3rd low is good, if fall back gears are required use only gears from low.

Here is the practical difference between AWD and 4WD
4×4 or 4wd is same and very powerful for offroading. AWD IS LESS POWERFUL
@@afradahmed3607 thats not the correct answer...4x4 includes transfer case and low range gear box also differential lock is also available ..and in awd it doesn’t have any of those and differential is open type hence not good for off roading

You did not mention budget accurately, so I can only give a little inaccurate suggestion.
Consider, newest gypsies, and belero may be if you have a very small budget.
is that grand vitara a 2l or 2.4l version. it's always more delightful to hear a petrol engine scream than the rattling noise of diesel. But it's gotta be a gas guzzler though.

I searched for this every where but did not get anything. Is it possible to lock center diff of xuv 500 or can it be welded and also is there any after market rear locker for this.

There is no center diff in XUV 500, a Torque on demand type clutch pack based AWD system, automatically disengages by 40kph, even set to lock.
Diff locking is not possible, too small a unit, same for Duster, Compass and most other such AWDs

A question for you guys, why can't you perform these off-road climbing stunts in a slow move, like not pushing the accelerator very deep and making it go to the top, but reaching top in a slow speed?
Drupad Bintu Without momentum, our vehicles just bog down. Jeeps with extreme articulation and extremely low gear ratios do these while crawling, but our cars will just shut down midway without enough momentum .
Crawling in Sand + Incline with heavy SUV's is not possible, next time Ill make a video to show that, I have been getting so many queries on this.

SLX does not come with 4x4, we don't take 2wd cars offroad.

First thing- Car companies mix these words all the time, like Duster, Yeti, Aria, Hexa come with 4x4 badges, they arent true 4x4 but AWD.
4x4 mainly has full mechanical four wheel drive system that includes Low range gearing reduction, locked 4x4 mode.
AWD mainly does not have low range gearing reduction, it can be full time awd system for road use like in CRV, or lockable part time system for offroad purpose like in XUV-500, Duster, Hexa....or a mix of both. Remember no hard and fast rules for nomenclature
4x4 is 4 wheel driving , not all cars comes with 4x4

Doosri side ka tyre spin kar raha hai, kyuki woh hawa mein hai, kyun kar raha hai? Kyuki Open differential hain, sabhi cars me jab ek tyre hawa mein hota hai to doosre to power transfer nahi hoti, isi liye diff lock aur MLD use kiye jaate hain.

Comparatively XUV is not so good for offroading. MLD cannot be fitted to XUV
