There are many games like that, where I wish I could replay it for the first time

I think everyone who had completed HZD feels this way. The BEST game story I've ever experienced.

I think what stays with me (besides the combat, which was just plain fun, and the aesthetic, which was pretty unique) is how the story was unfolded. The mystery of how the world came to be this way, and the slow reveals of the original history/timeline of the collapse were just so well done and had emotional stakes. Frankly, I consider it a must-play game.
Forbidden West is a much more balanced game, combat and exploration wise, but the story wasn't quite the same for me, though it wasn't awful.

I got hooked into that apocalyptic story vibe like no other game. I needed to know what happens. It felt like a Sci fi movie

I played both Horizon games on the PS5 and were blown away with them. Playing them on my 65" OLED tv makes it feel like I am in a sci-fi movie. I hear rumors of a remaster of Zero Dawn for the PS5 so if it happens I will definitely be playing them again (no New Game+ as I like to experience the game like I am playing it for the first time).

Horizon Zero Dawn feels really different from generic western open world games thanks to input from Hideo Kojima. You will find his name in the special thanks credits, along with many staff of Kojima Productions.
The sequel really makes you wonder how much input Kojima had in the first game.

I liked zero dawn. Got it on steam sale like 15$. Skipped forbidden West when I learned it was woke garbage.

Then you're missing out on a great game. I was a bit skeptical at first, but Forbidden West is no more woke than Zero Dawn. First of all: Aloy isn't as ugly as the one screenshot that conservative circles keep posting over and over again implies. That was only the case in the first previews. And there's no other woke BS like in series like Rings of Power or Star Trek Discovery. And the end of the DLC? Well, if you don't think Aloy should have a relationship with Seyka, then just don't choose the heart option. Problem solved. :)
