Rescue dog agility is the MOST FUN. It's not perfection, it's personality that matters! And these dogs have SO MUCH!!

How wonderful to see rescue dogs performing in Agility! Please, please Crufts, continue to do this! So many wonderful dogs are sitting in shelters waiting for their forever homes, & just waiting for their chances to show their stuff!
Made me cry sometimes just the thought of what these poor and innocent dogs have gone through, but happy and laughing to see them in well care and be happy as ever not worry about anything bad happening

Not all rescue dogs have gone through bad things 😬😬
Some rescue dogs are available because their owners died, or they moved out of country, or developed allergies to the dog, etc. Not all animals in care have been abused. There was even a case that I know of where the woman brought her dog to the pound so that it would be safe while she and her kids were preparing to leave her abusive husband. Sometimes animals are surrendered for loving reasons.

Olly's Channel There are many lovely happy dogs, but there aren’t many Olly’s. Though my dog is a lot like Olly.
I petition we name that obstacle The Olly!
As marvelous as it is to see some familiar faces in the form of Diamond and Olly, I was so hoping to see Murphy again! He had an absolute ball last year, completely ignoring the course and just having a wonderful time.
I know!!! Murphy was so much fun to watch. I hope he comes back next year.

Hello everybody !! This agility is really so nice. It makes me remember a dog named Pirate. He was rescued by my sweet girlfriend Madlena in Yerevan (Armenia) and he "immigrated" to Philadelphia where a good family adopted him. Now he is became a lap dog. He is a superb black dog of around 30 kilos.
This class should be scored not on what they get wrong but what they get right. And add points for entertainment and crowd amusement.
They are all so loyal that’s why they’re constantly going back to their owners/handlers 😭
Not necessarily. The other Agility dogs are loyal too, it's just that they've been trained to not always stay close to their handlers when they're doing Agility. It's about the speed, the dogs are faster than the humans, so if you wanna have a quick time you can't afford having your dog stay close to you all the time

I love that they have this competition for them knowing they aren't pros.Love seeing them go out there and having fun.
My old rescue mutt Rosie was a natural at agility, although we never competed officially. That girl was a wizard at running up kids playgrounds, weaving through poles, running up and down slides etc. She was guilty of doing the occasional "Olly" haha.
Rescue dog agility is my favorite. My rescued dog does a little bit of agility too.
The black and white Staffy cross is especially stunning and cute! "Favorite things running as long as it's not wet outside and cuddling complete strangers" :D

Great to see all those dogs with their (now) loving owners having a bit of fun. I was also amazed to see a Whippet in Agility (who did quite well and seemed to enjoy it) :D
i love the commentator how he talks about the dogs and his wonderful hilarious remarks. On their life histories the mention of that terrible family who had taken their poor deaf dog to be euthanised because he bit the childrens feet ----how shameful some people can be and their horrible children Bless all you rescue people who save the lives of so many innocent animals. ❤❤❤❤❤

I love seeing the agility and flyball type exercises because really, those are far more dogs being dogs than the show model stuff. But I do wish the presenters would avoid the "oh this isn't serious" type of commentary. I understand that there are folks who really stress out over this stuff, but the style of commentary still makes me feel like you're saying the dogs are lesser than. (caretaker of 4 rescues)
drewbage1847 I’m thinking that this rescue agility has no purpose other than showing people that it’s a good idea to adopt a dog. I have the feeling that Crufts wants to take on the responsibility for shelter dogs by promoting to adopt one.
I think the rescue dog’s handler are happy about that.

I also wish it would be taken mote seriously... since now i kind off get feeling that true breed dogs are better at this ... which i honestly don't believe... they should open up true competition for mixed breed dogs showing that they not lesser in any aspect compared to pure breed dogs. Regards!
drewbage1847 It might be that the rescue agility is for another type of viewer, one that just loves dogs and wishes they all could be rescued. Some of the dogs are very, very good, it's true - but it's also true that they compete seriously, and get serious commentators then. Does it then matter that sometimes one just is reminded how much FUN dogs can have at agility? -- But if people feel sad that their efforts and dogs are being devalued, then that's bad of course. It's just that I value the rescue agility dogs double!

Of course. As long as your dog is healthy you can just go ahead and try it out🤷🏻♀️😂 My dog is a rescue dog from spain, she'll turn 11 in April and I've been doing Agility with her for like 8 years already. She's not the fastest, simply because she can't be bothered to put a lot of effort into it, but she always does everything I tell her to, so it's still fun 🤷🏻♀️😂
