    Bishop Packer Wand and Liner Wand are my daily drivers for tattooing. Really great tattoo machines for it's intended use. Great size and wight for use both with cable or battery - myself I use them so far with battery only and I have tried cable just for sake of trying. Great form factor and easy to pack machines and they have disposable grips available for them who use them.

      Are these the ones with 5mm+ throw? As far as I know rotaries absolutely have not been great for lining. I was thinking of investing in this but I need to be sure this thing can hammer lines fast on areas other than a calf for example. Can it line fast single pass on ribs etc ?

    Hey bro thank you for the video, so I’ve seen people say you can’t pack black with the liner or aren’t supposed to, to me that doesn’t make sense lol, but have you done solid black with the liner and if so have you seen it healed? Cause I planned on using the liner for lining/solid blacks/stippling, any advice will help, thanks again for the video!!!!

    • @TattooShopTalk
      @TattooShopTalk  Před rokem

      I have attempted by accident to use it as packer and it is very strong and you have to be very careful not to chew up skin. Lining and stippling is what it is intended to used for

  • @polarmike76
    @polarmike76 Před rokem +2

    I'm not a fan of how lines heal with the Bishop Liner. Used it for a few pieces at the lower end of 6 volts, pieces take longer to heal, lines become raised. Single pass lines, no blowouts/hazing at the time of tattooing as well, but just bad heals. Not everyone, but way more than I'm comfortable with. The only Liners I would recommend with this machine would be 9+, otherwise the thing just shreds. I swapped back to my Inkjecta for lining and haven't had any issues since.

    The only rotaries I have used are Dan Kubin sidewinders. Would you say the liner is more similar to those machines? Also how do you find the liner performs on more sensitive areas and the packer on harder areas?

    • @TattooShopTalk
      @TattooShopTalk  Před 2 lety +1

      Sidewinder is way more effective used with bar needles also way more wild. Liner Wand is closest thing to it. On sensitive areas you want to be careful with both. I would say on very elastic areas liner does better job.

    • @Relativechapter
      @Relativechapter Před 2 lety

      @@TattooShopTalk Yeah what Inlike aboutbthe sidewinder is the option to use the clipcord polarity to get a passive hit on more sensitive areas. Would you say the liner is better then a coil on more elastic skin as well?

    • @TattooShopTalk
      @TattooShopTalk  Před 2 lety +3

      @@Relativechapter I would say coils or coil like machines like Dan Kubin are better and more efficient (if tuned right). Wand Liner with a good cartridge is not bad and it is way more comfortable. I don't think that someone who is all comfortable with their coils or Kubins will find liner as better option but it is close

      If we are talking Bishop Wands then - liner for lining and packer for packing and shading. Personally I would line with either Dan Kubin or Q Luna machine with bar needles unless it's easy placement then I would go Wand liner because it's more comfortable

    I don't get how you're supposed to do 3RL whip shading with the liner wand. I can sometimes do it with the packer but honestly I always go for my FK Irons Xion for 3RL dot shading stuff - the liner just chews the skin up so fast. I love the liner for everything else though! I haven't met the grouping it can't push.

      @@geemad4681 that’s not true….a liner and a shader can be interchanged with technique.
      I use the liner for shading and packing all the time. I use the shader for lining too as well as the packer for lining.
      I can tattoo with a doorbell if I need to, machines don’t make the tattoo, they just make something’s easier
      Dot work is easier with a longer stroke, it’s that simple, slow the machine and your hand down for desired effect.

      It's all about technique, something you would need to show someone, to see where you are going wrong if you've made all the adjustments and it's still happening. A nice In-between one, all fits one, would be the packer. But that's just my opinion.

      In my personal opinion and experience I would go with Shader. If you have a very good control then maybe Packer. They claim that liner can do all lines but for me it would be too strong for small lines. Liner would also be good for dot shading because it's punchy and you can run it slow.
