  • Flowed my ported Brodix BRX head on the superflow bench to show it can’t pull enough vacuum.

    Impressive ports! Understand the frustration with the bench though.

    Eric, thanks for sharing all of your great porting knowledge! Quick question for you. Do you port a head that will spend most of its life in boost any differently than a head intended for NA?

    Maybe you have a Vacuum Motor thats lazy or Possibly a Voltage drop from your power supply to your motors...ive seen guys upgrade the size of the wire to the motors...seems Superflow is Alittle light in there wiring....

    Eric, why not make a square edge orifice plate with a hole that flows 750 @ 25" and try it. Send the video to superflow and see of they will back up there stuff. If not. Then post the video to utube so you can warn any others in the market to buy a bench. The few seconds readout reaction time seems moot to me?

    Yikes, this is a monster head. I assume its 20° like Brodix puts out. I really dont like bbc heads as chevy makes them. 24° is lots and any head that has a "bad" port is questionable. The chambers are fn HUGE and mean you have to run some goofy pikes peak piston dome to really squeeze.

    Have you ever done any symmetrical port big block chevy heads? Is it worth running them?

    Could you let us know what power this ends up making please?
    Would love to know how this does against a MBE 18° head.
    Thanks. Shane.

      These aren’t in the same league as mbe 18. The mbe has a different valve placement and other changes that make it better. Porting can’t make up for those changes. Mine will make good power and will run good but not as good as that mbe head. However mine is several thousand cheaper. Ps I have tried to buy the unported 18 from mbe and they wouldn’t sell it to me.

    Very nice head, what does it flow at 28?

    • @WeingartnerRacing
      @WeingartnerRacing  Před 2 lety +1

      It flowed 517cfm@28inches on the Saenz bench but it reads lower than the superflow

    I understand your frustration but from here it's hard not to be impressed by those ports and flow.
