    How can the road be “parallel to the tower?
    The tower is point location furthermore, it is circular in plan.

      If you look at the gravel in the street at the very bottom of the photo, you can see that if you were to walk in the street, you would be walking in parallel to the tower. If the street were perpendicular to the tower, you would be walking towards the tower. Hope that helps!
