skillet comatose reaction whispers in the dark feel invincible monster hero
"Rebirthing" is a must. For the longest time, they used it as a closer for their concerts because it's THAT epic
That song is what introduced me to Skillet! Love that song!
@@thomasfort1013 SAME
They still do from time to time. Love the song. First concert I attended of theirs they opened with "whispers in the dark", closed with "rebirthing".
Skillet - The Resistance
Skillet -
Rebirthing
Skillet - Falling inside the black
Skillet - Victorious
Skillet - Save me
Skillet - finish line
Skillet - Madness in me
Rise and sick of it are cool too
Legendary as well
Yes! Great list of songs Alex needs to react too!
Goddamn Right!
Skillet.
I agree with “falling inside the black”
Hey Alex, Did you know this song came out just before Jen Ledger joined the band... the backup vocals in this song are John's wife Korey, who's one of the guitarists! :)
Also seth wasn't in the band either. They had ben at this time
Wow I didn't know that korey can sing I have loved skillet for years and this song
@@curtiss129 I'm pretty sure every female singing voice on the comatose album was korey singing
@@mavrickloewen1543 I haven't listened to the whole comatose album I actually got into skillet around 2014
@@curtiss129 Check out "Rebirthing", Korey sings a lot more in that, she has a great voice!
This song is speaking specifically about his relationship with God and how without Him life is empty.
This needs to be emphasized, a lot of people don’t understand this band is heavily rooted in Christ.
Yea, i thought it was about relationship with a girl/guy for a long time, until someone told me how it is for real. And a lot of other songs, like Feel Invincible for example, right, they all about God.
for them many oftheir songs are about god, but they never explicitly say or write it in their songs, so the leave it open for interpretation of the indivitual listener
@@maxzora1901 Skillet are very outspoken about being a Christian band. John is adamant about using their platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
@@timclark1324 i know that, but still they never speak out the name in their songs, which leaves it open for interpretation for every idivitual
So many awesome Skillet songs for you to hear man! Highly reccomend:
- Save Me
- The Resistance (Just make sure to hear the guitar solo at the end)
- Rise
- Legendary
- Undefeated
- Back from the Dead
- Savior
- The Last Night
- Out of Hell
- I Want to Live
- Live Free of Let me Die
- Fire and Fury (this once isn't a full on as the others, but John and Jen have awesome harmonies in this!)
Also Jen Ledger along with Ashes to New do a cover of Gravity by Papa Roach, so not technically Skillet, but really good! Jen's voice is amazing!
i agree man we need to get him to see this comment
Highly recommend:
*insert Skillet discography
On that note, Skillet’s lead singer and guitarist made a spin off band with a heavier sound named “Fight the Fury”
@@BlueBlazeGX My Demons by Fight the Fury is great! 👌
The Resistance, all time fav from Skillet. Get it Alex!
I'm telling you, the whole comatose album is pure gold. Once you've heard it most other Skillet songs can't quite measure up in my opinion.
"The Resistance"
"Lucy"
"Forsaken"
"Fingernails"
"Freakshow"
"Breaking Free (feat. Lacey Sturm)"
Maaaan you have a LOT of Skillet to binge on
Honestly that whole album is phenomenal. That album and "Awake" are a couple of my all time favorite albums.
Victorious and Rise albums are my pick
Saw this band live like 3 times, I think going on something like 6+ years they played this album the first time I heard them, This song was so fucking good, along with Whispers in the dark and rebirthing.
Collide
*Comatose starts to play *
Alex: WHERE THIS SONG HAS BEEN MY ENTIRE LIFE?
He's been Comatose.
@@christophermorin9036 hahaha
He might require a rebirthing
@@LordParticle True, before he starts Falling Inside The Black.
@@christophermorin9036 Maybe after he will find his Savior
Alex: Where has this song been my entire life
Me: Its been "comatose"
Big fan kirito! You going to do more abridged
Skillet
- Rebirthing
- The Last Night
Yes!!!!
I love Skillet, i heard a lot of Skillet in my teens, every day, going back and forth from school... my favorite songs were and are "Comatose" and "Hero"
Lol yeah I shared "Hero" on my facebook many moons ago before I got rid of it and my parents had family members complaining to them about the song.
Probably my favorite Skillet song to see live. The intro with the string duet, especially when they do the moving stage pieces, is incredible.
It was one of my favorite performances to ever see live, right next to coming down by ffdb
When my husband (then boyfriend) still lived apart from one another this was our song....That was back in 2008. It fit our relationship so perfectly. We've been together for 13 years now, and this song still makes us just relive our cute moments. :)
Skillet "Those Nights" another great song, got me through some tough times.
Their song Lucy made me shed man tears, you should react to that. And hear the story behind the song.
Same, but I love it so much
I suggested this awhile ago so let's get this one to be noticed so like the hell out of this comment
@@fakergod102 got it, I’ll keep suggesting, but Imma have to try not to come across as nagging.
No you must nag till the earth dies
@@fakergod102 lol
Rebirthing-Skillet
I think you'd like "Those Nights", "The Last Night", and "Sick of It", all by Skillet.
If there’s a opportunity to listen to a full album. This record is one of them. Worth the time. IMO their best record they’ve put out.
Have to agree! Awake has got to be a close 2nd place though 👍
This song way way to relatable at the end of the summer. Literally one of the few songs that could come close to bringing tears to my eyes when I listed to it
One of my favorite songs by them!
Watching For Comets is the most underrated skillet song ever.
Skillet is underated
If you like Skillet, you'll love their side project band called Fight the Fury
Or Lesger if you like Jens voice, pretty mello style though with the exception of warrior that features John.
Skillet - The Resistance 🤘🏼
How could i forget this band? Thank you Alex, for remembering this great band!
This song helped me so much in my darkest days ❤ glad you loved it
It’s been a long while since I heard this song!!! It just made me want to sing it and worship to the Lord! Such an awesome song!
Dude you need to React to Savior by Skillet. It's one of their early tracks. Trust me dog!
Circle down, collide, looking for angels or open wound too
@@papageek6626 great picks
"Savior" was the song that turned me on to Skillet. 2004 Christian Rock Hits.
Early? That was what Album 5 or 6 already? Invincible (the album) or Alien Youth goes back to their industrial sound.
My favorite!
I absolutely love this song and your reactions 😍
I haven't listened to skillet since Ben was there guitarist but I've saw them live 27 times in my 4 years of highschool. I miss this song.
I really enjoyed this reaction!! It made me think back to the first time I heard this song over 10 years ago. This song still gives me goosebumps and just makes you feel good when listening to it. Glad you discovered them!!
"Skillet", "Korn" and since today "orbit culture", absolute Favorit.
skillet is my 2nd fav band 1st is Linkin park for sure
Me too
@@thyagob29 Nice
@@sarg778returnscodm7 Startset my demons is a good one
Yeeees! I was lucky enough to see both of them live in concert! Just epic!!!
Sameeee
Skillet the last night would be a fun one to see, one of the best songs
Songs from Skillet:
Save me
Resistance
Back From the Dead
Legendary
Circus for a Psycho
I want to live
I approve of this list, they're all bangers! Especially Save Me, I've gotten hooked on that song, so good! 👌
Bbbb back bbbb back back back
@@ZephyrLightning97 Cold, and black, inside this coffin
Jen the drummer I’ve always thought is so cute/adorable
Actually on this album Jen wasn't with skillet yet it was some other woman
@@squarebodycasewademckenney6190 yup, you can see the other woman on Rebirthing music video
@@staystrongjoseph Yeah Lori Peters left the band inbetween this album and Awake as she was getting a bit tired of the constant touring and wanted to settle down, stayed good friends with the other members. Their guitarist from all the albums upto and including Awake (Ben Kasica) also left in 2011 to pursue other interests, but again remained close with the band and has directed a few of their later music videos. He was replaced by Seth Morrison who's with them currently.
Jen joined the band after this album. Her first CD was the Comatose comes Alive live album/concert DVD. First studio album was Awake. The previous drummer did take time out to help train Jen a bit
@@charlielynch3916 dude who the hell leaves playing with a famous rock band, that's like the most badass paid job you can get lol.
I understand that touring is tiring and you may not see ur family for a long time but still it's a great and fun job to get paid for.
I saw them live, their amazing and really know how to put on a show
I've seen them at a certain concert festival a number of times over the last ten years. Of all the bands you might see over the 4 days of the festival, they were one of the most popular. They always headlined one of the nights if they were there that year. And they were BY FAR the loudest, both the band and the ROARING crowd could be heard clearly from a kilometer or two away. According to my mom, the CROWD is actually louder, but then again, 15,000 people can make a hell of a lot of noise, and that many people screaming, "I FEEL LIKE A MONSTER!!!" in unison is simply incredible.
YOOOOO THIS SONG IS SUCH A CLASSIC. About damn time.
Definitely! We need to keep this thread alive! We need this Like ASAP
@@jameswallis8829 I agree
I've seen skillet live 5 times their amazing
YES OMG YOU LEGEND
Hey, you're done editing it! 😁 I look forward to watching these on the daily, just a few minutes away from life to vibe. And then it's SKILLET?!?! Love it Alex (':
"You! Bastard light!" lmaooo! Alex you are the best lol 😆
check these out:
- The Last Night
- The Resistance
- Victorious
Dude, so stoked you’re still on the Skillet train!!! As a lifelong Panhead it’s always nice to see someone falling in love with their music and specifically the Comatose album. When I tell you this album changed my life, I mean it. I literally have Whispers’ chorus tatted on my arm. I really think you need to check out Breaking Free, Anchor, Falling in the Black, Lucy, Collide, and a little gem called The Last Night. Basically anything they’ve put out is amazing for different reasons. You may also want to check out John and Seths side project Fight the Fury if you want to hear some heavier stuff and the song Dominate Me from their EP.
One of the first rock songs I heard back in middle school about 10 years ago. I swear just that intro is enough to fuck me up fam. Pure nostalgia directly into my veins
I LOLed so hard when the song started and it was 3 seconds in and already Alex was making stank faces 😂😂😂. Listen to rebirthing
Yes! Finally some more Skillet. One song that I recommend from this band is Terrify the dark. It's one of their best.
I was literally just thinking about you reacting to skillet ngl
'SHE'S THE DRUMMER????" I will never forget this!! You are the best!!!!!
Alex! You've gotta react to their Awake, Rise, Unleashed, and Victorious albums! As well as the rest of Comatose! You won't regret it!
I would recommend listening to "Back from the dead - Skillet" ... it's like the continuation of the song "Mounster"
One of my favorite songs and awake and alive.
Red has new music out. That is all.
I needed this tip thanks dude
Love Skillet, but Red is just as awesome.
The War We Made, please.
It’s been out for a while now actually
Seen them in concert 3 times. Honestly they get better every time and I almost cry 🖤
This was the song that introduced me to skillet, love the reaction man!
Ooo this was one of my favourite songs growing up 🤘🏼
He should react to fight the fury seeing as it has Seth and John from skillet and it's like a heavier version of skillets music
Definitely!
Super underrated band
Not really heavier... Just basically old-school Skillet.
I completely absolutely 100% agree.
Fight the fury!
@@silvabrite1828 at least heavier than they currently are
It is super cool to see you enjoy things, especially this song that was my initial introduction to the band over 10 years ago. I am sure someone has suggested this already but Save Me by these guys has been carrying me through much of the pandemic
Another great Skillet reaction, keep 'em coming, thanks!
Another one I love from Skillet is "Never Surrender", you should give it a go :)
Check out Chevelle!
- Send the Pain Below
- The Red
- The Clincher
- Face to the Floor
He's done the red already, not sure about the others

I wanna see a brothers of metal reaction. Basically what happens when Sabaton, Amaranthe and Amon Amarth have a baby
This is first Skillet song I learned to play - complex but simply awesome 😎 nice reaction👌🔥
this and falling inside the black were what got me onto skillet and were a good chunk of my teenage years.
If you want a good song from Skillet check out “Savior” or “Better Than Drugs” both of those songs are pretty good!
My Demons- Fight the Fury. It’s John’s other band!
Skillet- Savior!!!!
Fight the fade- over and over!!!
Love, love, love skillet! This one of my faves

Yo, you should also check out Comatose “ITunes Edition” on YT on your own time. I think it’s basically the live version.
I just want to say thank you. Prob again. I love seeing the authentic happiness u show when reacting to Skillet. It make me feel better as a person seeing someone happy to not just good music but Christian music.
I've been listening to Skillet since 1996. Still have that album. Love them.
Man react to the band Cellar darling
Song: Avalanche
Really really good
Please react to jen Ledger (drummer of Skillet) - Not dead yet or Warrior.
Those two are amazing songs
Hey Alex!! To give you some insight into the band I've seen them several times and met and worked on stage with them as well, you'll never meet another band that is more humble and kind than Skillet. The band writes and mixes all there own material too.
