I have to agree with you since moving to Dallas, it’s like I second guess if I should I should of or still should move next year to the H. Dallas is beautiful and it’s chill but doesn’t have that black southern feel to it like the H.
Dallas vibe to me is more stale. Houston feels more energetic and culture diverse. True Houston is the rougher of the 2 but there are some parts of Houston that are downright Gorgeous and rival anything Dallas has. People on here obviously haven’t traveled to the better parts of Houston if they want to paint the entire city as wretched.
I used to live in Dallas and loved it. Visited Houston twice and there was a dark, weird feeling in the atmosphere both times. Hands down I love Dallas
I couldn’t wait to get out of Dallas! I considered moving to Houston because I figured at least the food would be better! Ended up in Florida and that was the worst decision ever!
People in Houston are much warmer than people in Florida. Florida is also more divided by ethnicity as well. People of all ethnicities enjoy each other’s cultures and food and just ant to have a good time. I have met a lot of mean spirited people n FLORIDA. NYC is the best , but the people , food , cultural and party scene for me in Houston is next to NY for sure. I lived in DC, LA, CHI, Nashville and Georgia, so I have a few experiences to make my conclusions. What Dallas has is infrastructure and polish, however, not as warm as the Houstonian.
I lived in both cities and Houston is bar far way better!!! Dallas has to many Karen’s and I feel like it’s more segregated. Yes everyone lives among’s each other but real far apart! Houston it has so much diversity! I went to downtown and different areas and so many people of all races and backgrounds having a good time. You just feel the difference in the vibe jousting brings! Both have good economies but Houston there’s always something to do! Dallas only has small pockets of things to do.
@daemichael3085 Dallas downtown was voted top 5 of downtown in America because of the livability. Dallas is diverse also. I think the said Houston was diverse and the people from Houston say that as to think they're the only diverse city. Downtown Dallas, Uptown and Deep Ellum are all there together. There's not anywhere in Houston that's like Uptown and Deep Ellum
@@j.r.6094 yeah downtown Dallas is gorgeous!! From the outside view once you go in it’s completely dead lol people go there for the JFK thing! Uptown it’s cool but that’s just it nothing else but bars.
I’m actually from Chicago and I live in Dallas and I visit Houston often I always say I will never in my life move to Houston. I strongly believe they encourage so many African-Americans to migrate to Houston because they know it’s essentially ghetto overall in comparison to Dallas.. I love Dallas, but now I am thinking where do I want to move to next? … really thinking North Carolina. But Houston has so much good food to eat and party places. That is the only reason I come down here. I will never in my life live here.
They’re not encouraging black Americans to move to Houston, it’s the nightlife/black owned businesses that’s attracting more of us there. Both cities you have to be about your business or it will be difficult financially
Shoot I’m from NC and I’ve been thinking about moving to Chicago😂. NC isn’t bad, it’s much more laid back although we have 2 of the fastest growing cities in the US and Charlotte is becoming the next Atl, most likely. I hear a lot of good and bad things about both Houston and Dallas which I’m still willing to visit but seeing how car dependent their infrastructure is I’d rather stay up here or move up north than live in such traffic congested cities.
Dallas is like that grandad stuck in his own conservative ways and Houston is pretty much like that rebellious granddaughter who wants to just live life but obviously has her ups and downs .
Yall keep saying you go to Dallas to raise a family? Really? Naw you may go to Dallas SUBURBS to raise a family. Just like you go to Houston suburbs to raise a family. Nobody moves to Dallas city limits trying to raise a family.
I'm from Houston born and raised. It's so flabbergasting to hear black people from other cities talk negatively about Houston but glad they moved to Houston 😏 🤦♂️
Oh yes it is. Houston builds a retractable roof stadium, here comes Dallas with theirs. Houston builds the original Galleria. A Galleria opens up in Dallas on a much smaller scale. Minute Maid park Houston, then Globe life Dallas. Houston was usually the first to do it all.

what's up pretty girl, Houston is more higher scale on it's business opportunities. Space, Medical, Power capital and tech innovation and bio looking to start some boom here, too
Same! A month ago we relocated from Atlanta to Dallas! I love it. Atlanta has that party vibe and that “fun” vibe which is cool but it gets old. Dallas is a serious city, and you’ll notice how much more nicer it is in terms of how they designed the city. Traffic in Dallas is bad, but not as bad as ATL. Dallas might not have the restaurants you’re looking for, but that’s when you leverage Houston which I hear is a lot like ATL. Only a 3 1/2 hour drive! Remember when you move to Dallas you’re moving to TEXAS which is huge and thriving. Dallas is thriving. People are here to work. People are here to do business. People are serious. It’s not as laid back and “lazy” per say as Atlanta.
I cannot wait to move to Dallas. Been in Houston for 3 years it’s time to go. It’s turned into another Atlanta. All that partying gets old after awhile. I’ll go where it’s more laid back, and serious. Bye Houston!
I grew up in Port Arthur which is 80 miles east of Houston and I have lots of family there as well so I’m very familiar with Houston. I also lived in Dallas for 7 years. There are things I like and dislike about both cities. No big deal. People are really upset with this woman for having an opinion 😂
I lived in Dallas for 3 yrs. Hence my avi. I loved Dallas, had fun in Dallas and got an educated there. I wouldn’t move back but I sure will visit again. Houston is too crowded and can flood. Have fun with that
I think your wording is backwards and it's Houston's Blacks that actually have it better and that's largely because of having two large Black universities. Then, the city being more prosperous than Dallas throughout it's past and overcoming segregation quicker. You don't get a great looking Downtown signature building skyline of glass out of nothing.
Medical center, Space Center, Power center(Oil&Gas), a real downtown with it's sports teams actually playing in it and Football stadium not far away inside the city limits connected by a real rail system and not just the Dallas to the suburbs crap. NOW WHAT, HAHA???? Stop tryna be all that in the D and maybe you'll think real and someday be on a real level like Houston.
The majority of the Texas State Prison systems (TDCJ) units surround Houston, and its suburbs. Inmates get released in the Sugarland/Richland/Rosharon areas. So where do you think the majority of the released inmates end up going to party after spending years locked up with no booze, or females? Oh yeah, party on da patio.
as a white dude dating a black woman she doesn't like Dallas to much. Houston is just more ubna club culture. If you only focus on race it's going to he hard in dallas
You are 100% correct about Dallas. I live here but I love H-Town. Dallas is fake, and people here put losses 1st and attack winners or go getters. Houston has class, culture, personality, 2 and half HBCU,s (UofH, TSU,and PVA&M, even though it's not far from Houston. Houston has all sports franchises within the Houston city limits. All this makes the personify of a city. Dallas has 1 HBCU that has been unaccredited and downgraded to a middle high school college (deliberately) because Dallas doesn't like black excellence. All of the Cowboys facilities are outside Dallas County limits and all fun events aren't near a transit line. The mentality here in Dallas is trashy and (fake boujee) w/o than class and sometimes w/o the finances. Dallas attacks the real ones who actually make very decent and have class also. That was where the putting losers 1st and greatness last came from. A Houston woman will out smart, outclass a Dallas woman any day because of the educational influence of the colleges in Houston. It creates a sense of being part of a great city or region. Dallas doesn't have that type of infrastructure to develop a truly classy woman. That's why most Dallas women don't have a personality because they don't have the educational tools as an example to copy or immulate from.

It’s a spirit just like every city has certain spirts and problems that grows energy contagious , that’s why u stay in ur environment ,and do t hang with everyone u are who Hang around.
I have to agree with you since moving to Dallas, it’s like I second guess if I should I should of or still should move next year to the H. Dallas is beautiful and it’s chill but doesn’t have that black southern feel to it like the H.
Bro you not familiar with the area so you wouldn’t really get spoken too unless out there or in a real black neighborhood
I haven’t heard the word chopped to describe ugliness in a while 😂😂
Dallas vibe to me is more stale.
Why did you dislike Dallas
People in Houston are much warmer than people in Florida. Florida is also more divided by ethnicity as well. People of all ethnicities enjoy each other’s cultures and food and just ant to have a good time. I have met a lot of mean spirited people n FLORIDA. NYC is the best , but the people , food , cultural and party scene for me in Houston is next to NY for sure. I lived in DC, LA, CHI, Nashville and Georgia, so I have a few experiences to make my conclusions. What Dallas has is infrastructure and polish, however, not as warm as the Houstonian.
Your the common denominator. It’s not the cities, it’s you!
Yeah🤣 Floridas taxes and rent is way worst I’m from Florida trynna move to Dallas 💀💀 bruh nahh
@@G20T come on dawg. I move to Dallas next month
You must didn't really live in Dallas if you saying it's only small pockets of things to do
@@j.r.6094 lived there more then ten years! Tell me what there is? Deep Ellum ? 😂

Dallas is a great city.
Why would somebody want to live near the ocean?, I mean, what if there’s a hurricane and it floods?, that’s why Dallas is better 😊
😂 i like that description
Very true
Perfectly described
Yall keep saying you go to Dallas to raise a family? Really? Naw you may go to Dallas SUBURBS to raise a family. Just like you go to Houston suburbs to raise a family.
Nobody moves to Dallas city limits trying to raise a family.
The suburbs either fam y’all don’t know shii the far suburbs where it’s at

Oh yes it is. Houston builds a retractable roof stadium, here comes Dallas with theirs. Houston builds the original Galleria. A Galleria opens up in Dallas on a much smaller scale. Minute Maid park Houston, then Globe life Dallas.
Houston was usually the first to do it all.

I guess it depends on what parts of each city you visit. As a person that has lived in both cities…..Dallas wins by a landslide. But I must say I don’t go to clubs…I’m not on the party scene. I’m more on the conservative side. Both cities have great business opportunities.
what's up pretty girl, Houston is more higher scale on it's business opportunities. Space, Medical, Power capital and tech innovation and bio looking to start some boom here, too
I’m relocating to Dallas from Atlanta. I thought about Houston but listening to you…Dallas. ☺️
Have fun with that
Houston is 3 times larger, but has less well-to -do Black people. Houston is great for everyone , but us.
Not true at all. We have way more industries in Houston to be successful in
I think your wording is backwards and it's Houston's Blacks that actually have it better and that's largely because of having two large Black universities. Then, the city being more prosperous than Dallas throughout it's past and overcoming segregation quicker. You don't get a great looking Downtown signature building skyline of glass out of nothing.
Dallas and Houston need to get past their friendly banter. Dallas is Houston's daddy... nothing to debate.
Girl bye. We ain’t tryna be like Houston. Uglass girl. Dallas not known for being a party city. We laid bk and chill

Night life.
😂Rural Texans be like; you're just describing the difference between a 12 inch sewer pipe and a 10 inch sewer pipe.😂
She couldn't have met a true native/ born and raised, because we're nothing like this. The city is full of migrants and that's telling in itself 😉

as a white dude dating a black woman she doesn't like Dallas to much. Houston is just more ubna club culture. If you only focus on race it's going to he hard in dallas
Dallas isn't underwater every 2 years
You are 100% correct about Dallas.
Her minds playin tricks on her!
It ain’t… you just can’t take a joke and handle people’s opinions 🤷🏾♀️
As you know Dallas people are overly sensitive and think everybody should just love the city.

Houston stay thinking anyone trying to compare with them? Baby Houston is Houston & Dallas is DALLAS okay. I've lived in Dallas all my life & have visited Houston a handful of times. If we're competing where we don't compare, Houston is dirty, overcrowded, & ghetto.
