First sensible advice against slamming ur stem. As a guy who rides 1600 miles a month with majority of my rides century rides and larger I would never dream of putting my body in the inefficient position. Gotta listen to your body🤙🏽👏🏼

Great vlog! The bike fitting was awesome, great description of the process as James was going about it and analyzing your position and the results of the changes he suggested. Thank you for taking the time to vlog your bike fitting. So to complete the vloger challenge, since Shane and Maven are both in England, you three should link up with Cycling Cam and make it a foursome!

I hope you got a good deal on that saddle as thats an older model Romin no longer in production. If you like the shape, I bet you would like the newer Romin Evo even more as its less plush and a little shorter at the nose. I rode 900km in five days on mine without a single saddle sore:) Thanks for another rad vid!

Oh shit... 2.40 in and I think I've worked out why I have a wonky left knee, and keep getting saddle sores on the inside of my left thigh. Might have my saddle too high. :O

Make sure to adjust your kickstand as well! Seriously, though, this is an information packed video. I've come to believe a bike fit is important even for a rather casual rider, as well as elite riders. Keep up the good vlogging!

The guy cycling past @10.14 I've seen him in the past. He looks like he is over 80. Would love it if you could get an interview with him.
That power meter uses a wein bridge set up so it can adjust for variation in the strain gauges, and add a error correction. Calibration is usually a zero offset, not a error correction across the measuring range. Very clever, designed in Australia.

You should have a separate bike fit for vlogging.....the bike fit guy can observe your cycling technique while you cycle one-handed and hold a camera in front of your face.

Were the new and old crank arms the same length? If not, would that undo the bike fit a little?
+Joe Blogs same length. Although I did ask James about that. He doesn't adjust saddle height with different length cranks (unless it's extreme). Such a small difference that the body will absorb

I can only ride bont shoes coz H width feet, even Lakes I have to go a size up. Would recommend to anyone with wide feet, stiff carbon soles too and reasonably priced :)

I have Giro shoes and I find them too narrow. Hearing the guy(sorry don't know his name) during the bike fit saying that Italian shoes are too narrow, did anybody know brand and model to name a few for wide foot? 🤔

Lakes and bont wide lake has better sizing charts. EE or larger needs a custom shoe from Riivo or rocket7. I have lake wide and they weren’t wide enough. Ended up getting custom shoes and that fixed all my issues. The shoes are 20mm wider on both and I’m amazed at how good I feel on bike now.
I just can't get used to chris in regular clothes...

Do the PMs over or under report after months/years then? If they over report I get some free watts! Faster on Zwift!! ;) I can see second hand PMs going up in value here for the Winter season :)
