Prosecutors in Kouri Richins case lays out evidence against her

- Kouri Richins, the children’s book author accused of fatally poisoning her husband and who has been behind bars for more than a year, was back in court Monday for two separate hearings. She has not entered a guilty plea and maintains her innocence. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY.

@@Breeandfree Kouri tried to poison Eric several times before, according to Eric. In addition, Eric told his family, "If something happens to me, Kouri did it." He was VERY stupid for (a) staying with her and (b) consuming anything she made for him.
She looks like she has had the wind taken out of her sails, sitting there in court. She must be an incredible narcissist to make his murder a victory for her own profit, twice. Her family just doesn’t want to lose her to prison.

Will you PLEASE stop perpetuating the lie that she "wrote a book"? Less than 5 minutes of investigating shows that she hired a ghostwriting firm, as well as an illustrator, and put her name on it. The "media" didn't go looking for her to go on their shows.....SHE called them. She's no more an author than she was a real estate "mogul".

In a divorce, she gets partial marital asset. As a widow, she gets all of it.

I know what happened so basically with the civil cases that she has the money that she has on retainer for these attorneys is about to get sucked up by settlements in those civil cases. She basically doesn’t have the money to pay them any further. So they’ve withdrawn. This has nothing to do with guilt or innocence. It’s merely she can’t pay. You’ll know this is true if her next Attorney’s our court appointed council and not actually retained counsel.

Based on what I saw on 60 minutes, there is like no evidence, it’s all a bunch of hearsay from family members who just plain didn’t like her. All the internet searches were AFTER he died, probably trying to make sense of what happened and why she was being accused. The criminal house cleaner she supposedly bought from is the only “witness”. The debt she had was par for the course for her profession, she was about to flip the house for well more than she purchased it for. And it’s common to have multiple life insurance policies when you have kids. The prior supposed attempt to poison him with fentanyl was all according to that red headed sister of his, and he broke out in hives, that is not how you react to fentanyl
