3. Deploy Single Fly Ground Ladder - The Firefighter will deploy a single fly “roof ladder” to be used as a ground ladder.
a. FF will be standing in full PPE and SCBA awaiting instruction from Training Officer.
b. FF will deploy a single fly ladder for use on the ground.
c. FF will deploy ladder by themselves.
d. FF will audibly verbalize the hazards they are looking for while deploying ladder.
e. FF will audibly verbalize that the ladder is safe to use and why “4 points of contact, proper climbing angle, FF at the butt.”
f. FF will take ladder down and return it to apparatus.
g. Evolution will end upon successful completion.
