    He may have been injured for 7 seasons but if am not mistaken he got injured serving for you guys & most of the times he was the leading scorer in 6 or 7 games then he would get back on the bed. I have to admit i was always scared of that lad & i once wished we signed him first. Whenever he got injured i felt relieved. He was qualty even with all those injuries. Just go back & look at that free kick against Reading i think it was Fa Cup or Carling Cup he had been out for long but still produced!

    I've been a Gooner since I was 6 (i'm 20 now) and to suggest that women and football don't mix? That she doens't know anything? Wow how 19th century of you. She's actually saying how I feel - even if she is a united fan. Robin wanted to win trophies and he felt he could do that at united, which he has done. We don't slag off Fabregas or Henry when they moved to Barcelona, or other players when they move on. Van Persie is our past and our current squad are what we should be focusing on. Some of you need to grow up.

    He didn't tell the club to fuck off. He realised that he was at a stage in his career where he needed to be winning trophies and didn't think it was possible with Arsenal. He's been nothing but respectful to Arsenal. It also wasn't his fault that his early career was blighted with injuries. They're a part of football whether we like it or not. He still managed to score 100 goals for the club. Try and put your partisan emotion to the side and look at things like an adult.

    We are NOT one of your biggest rivals. In order for a rivalry to be a rivalry it has to be TWO SIDED. Why do you lot seem to have such a problem grasping this? You are only our rivals, meaning we only care about you, when you are directly competing with us for trophies. This isn't the case any more and hasn't been for ages. In general United fans have respect for Arsenal. London's biggest club with a good history and who do things the right way. There is no animosity from our side meaning....

  • @JamesMuzica

    look he scored over 30 goals last season, he's not won a single trophy in 8yrs and you can understand why he's left. he still has respect for the club by not celebrating when he scored his goal, so we should all just stop worrying about the past. i thought the arsenal fans were a disgrace today, booing him whenever he got the ball. without respect, football is nothing.

    My point is when we was challenging for the title this guy was injured. That season when Eduardo got injured where was RVP he was out injured!! Not many clubs as big as Arsenal would stick by a injury prone player like RVP. So to give us 1 world class season then go Man united is just a mug off!!! If he went City they would of been lifting the title don't try bullshit me no striker you would have bought would of had the impact of Van. Either way you wont change my view of him and vice -versa !!

  • @visse264
    @visse264 Před 10 lety

    What you agree with doesn't make sense. So you don't either. It is just ridiculous to say that he only played good for one season. He played exceptional in his last season with Arsenal, not just good. He wasn't injured for 7 years and when he played he used to play good, better than average. Let's get the facts straight, please.

  • @TheMrPlanetary
    @TheMrPlanetary Před 11 lety

    Actually if nasri stayed and RVP left it wouldn't be so bad. Also i hold my view on RVP because he had been injured 28 times giving just two decent seasons and 1 world class season then he left for united. He should have known better, also take away his goals and match winners from united and put it on any top 4 team and they would have won the prem.

  • @ThatStraightEdgeGuy
    @ThatStraightEdgeGuy Před 11 lety

    How can anyone compare Tevez going to City, to Van Persie going to United. Tevez going to City, would be like Van Persie going to Tottenham. They are your biggest rivals. We, Man Utd, do not consider Arsenal rivals anymore because they do not challenge us for silverware in any way, shape, or form. Tevez going to City hurt us because they now compete with us for trophies, whereas Arsenal don't.

    you'd have to minus the goals from whatever player he'd be replacing. Like I said though it's irrelevant as nobody is debating his quality. You lot don't have a leg to stand on. He was well within his rights to ask to leave and had plenty of very valid reasons for doing so. He wanted to continue playing in England and for a proper club with trophy prospects and a proper history. There was only one choice. MUFC.

  • @shansyn
    @shansyn Před 11 lety

    RVP didn't celebrate because of two reasons: the first that it would be disrespectful to Wenger and secondly, he knows how classless Adebayor looked. A lot of gunners understand his move but find it hard to accept. From a loyal supporter's perspective, the animosity comes from having had faith in RVP for several season despite his persistent injuries. After one healthy season, he left. He might have got his medal, but he will not be considered a legend among either club now.

  • @limericklad2000
    @limericklad2000 Před 11 lety

    Depends where he went. Also it depends on why. He gets paid as much as the top footballers in the world already. He's competing for and winning the biggest trophies on a regular basis already. He doesn't have a good reason for leaving. If he did have a good reason, like RvP did, then we wouldn't begrudge him leaving. We didn't begrudge Ronaldo. We still sing his name.

  • @meddyfurniture

    He wanted to join for City & now Chelsea, What I'm trying to say is that rival btn Utd & Arsenal is just football but Arsenal vs Spurs or United Vs City is everything! So Rooney being booed was for making annoying requests. And let's be honest even without Rvp United has moved a very big gap ahead of Arsenal in the past years. I remember 10yrs ago i would look out when we are playing Arsenal but nowadays there other teams to look at i don't know why Arsenal fans still hate United that much :D

  • @limericklad2000
    @limericklad2000 Před 11 lety

    Not sure what your point is. Are you blaming him for his injuries?All players are responsible for is their fitness and their performance levels while fit. They are not in control of how and when they pick up injuries. Stop being daft. Also your point about taking away goals and adding them on to other teams is irrelevant and nonsensical. If RvP hadn't been playing for us then someone else would, and they'd have scored goals (maybe not as many as he did). Same goes for him being on another team..
