If I have a motor being used for a hoist that has a very small run time, can I just use the two capacitors like you said? Being this is under load on a start I believe I will need two, but I don’t want to use that switch every time I have to hit the “up” button
Hi, please help! I measure 420V between two wires, how can change this back to 240V? It was wired for using a 3 phase pump but am wanting to run a single phase pump now. Thank you.
Nice one mate, cheers. Regarding two capacitors and starting. I have not found it yet, but you can wire two capacitors, no switch, both caps wired to two different places. Start and Run capacitors…. No need for a switch… not found any wiring info yet.. I’ll post back if I find anything… and I can find your video again… if you find info before me.. can you do the same Cheers
great video .i have 200v japanese oilpump motor which came with three wires. is that a three phase motor? and is there any way to convert it runs with 230v single phase?
When u initially started the motor, and it did not have enough power to turn, it was connected to a 240v outlet? The end result was that u were able to convert a 3ph 240v motor to single phase 240v motor? Have u ever tried this on a servo motor?
how do you calculate kw? my 3 phase motor doesn't state the kw, its a 3 phase wired for low volts and states 8.6 amps at lo volts , cycles 60, rpm 1200.....what type of resistor do i need to wire up to single phase 220 volts system?
About 270 ųf 400v starting capacitor. But keep in mind. If you do find one able the run this motor keep a close eye an temperature Incase it starts to over heat. Good luck.
O.10 kw you need a 7ųf start capacityor with a 50/60 hz motor. For example if you have a 0.30 kw 50/60hz motor you will need a 21ųf capacitor or close to it. You will have to work it out as I can't work out horse power for you.
Thank for the info mate.
A normally open momentary switch would be a good swap for that toggle switch (for the forgetful people, myself included!).
how much power do you loose by running on single phase

Ah no!
I found the wiring pics for twin capacitor, no switch … and it was for motor with built in centrifugal switch 🙁
what would i want for 1.5kw and 50hz?
Hot to calculate that size of capacitor
Demonstrate by connecting the two capacitors

Hi, if i understand well, my 3 phase motor have 3hp (2.2kw), i need starter capacitor of 120?
160-180

By the sounds of it its a single phase but i could be wrong
@@justpanit9872 thank you
Is it as stromg as if it was running at 3phase?
what capacitor your using ( running or starting ) like 3ph 3hp motor
Starting capacitor.

Hmm, I'm not sure without having kw stated. If I can work it out I'll let you know.
@@justpanit9872 i believe its a 1.892 kw

i have a 3phase motor and its 3HP. i wired from star to delta connection 240volts. What capacitor ( run or start) and what size capacitor?

Morning sir,...how about sir 3ph motor, convert to single phase,..what capacitor I used sir?
3hp motor sir.
In 10Hp 3phase motor how many micro farad is required (rating) for running capacitor ? Thanks
Hi buddy did you work out what capacitor you need ?
@@anthonyfoster7206 I would like to know what Farad cap to use
How to calibrate the capacitor value
5/100w
Can that work on compressor
Not sure
