American TV was never smart enough to have Shaky on more than a couple of times. I think the only show I saw him on in the 80's was Solid Gold, when he sang Cry Just a Little Bit. Really a shame he didn't catch on more here in the US.
This was a promo video of sorts that was made after it made the Dutch top 20 in 1977, his first major Success. Unlike the UK at the time who had tired of the rock and roll rivial music by the mid 70s, there was still a lot of interest in many other European countries. Interest in rock and roll music in the UK started again around 1979 as Punk music was waining and new wave was making inroads
OMG been looking for this track for YEARS! Was the flip side of one of his singles I had too many years ago to count, loved it more than the main side!
I reckon its from a track records promo...the stills were taken for the "track years" re issue....great vid! the inlay of the album "shakin stevens" on track has stills....and the female sax player...:))good stuff!
Erm doubtful. Anyone that records 3 chord chuck aways like Party Doll with lyrics that sound like a 10 year old wrote them, Is highly unlikely to exceed an artist like Shaky, who sold more records than Buddy Knox ever did. . . Fact, not fiction
Shakin' Stevens and The Sunsets-that is how I always remember him.
Great song! I've never seen this clip before, thanks for putting it up. Pretty eyes on that man!
ANOTHER GREAT SONG BY SIR SHAKIN STEVENS
I love this. I hadn't heard it before. Thank Heaven for You Tube!

I agree with you.

Great version, much better than the original, Buddy Knox did it in the late 1950's.
A very impressive Version made by Shaky and The Sunsets

Ten głos jest wart wszystkie pieniądze
Awesome song! But is Shaky wearing eyeshadow?!
there are two kinds of music shaky and shaky amazin vid he also done never to like this..........
So who is that on guitar then? I thought Danny Wild had been playing guitar since early '77 until Shaky left?
decent version of the great Ruth Brown track
Buddy Knox version far exceeds this !!
