Such a lovely man. Shame that he was subjected to that pair of prats.
Especially her!!!
Grew up with Shakin and saw him live once was fantastic won't ever forget it.
Love him, great guy
Used to like her but now 🤮
@@Bobbynutty who
Correct. Pair of prats.
What a grounded gentleman, politely glosses over some idiotic questions. Shame there are no chat shows now as he would be a perfect guest.
What a humble guy. Great to see him still making music. He looks great for 75!
I look 60 instead of 80 under the right lights too
@@rob5197 I don't believe you're 80 Rob
David bowie ... He sure does. 👍
Aqui no Brasil todos o adoram músicas de qualidade
Sim. Tanta coisa pra perguntar..e enchem o cara de besteiras .. Ronaldo do RJ Brasil
Great new music from Shaky.
He did well to suffer those muppets; Snarky Munchetty and Personality by-pass Stayte
Yes, they seemed to be under the impression they could take the mickey out of him, in front of him, shaky wasnt having any of it and just alpha wolfed Charlie stared him down
@@jamesjameson4566 I always get the impression they are mocking the guests on the show. Hideous characters.
He's a true gentleman, and a gentle soul.
LOL Because the Dude is a true RocknRoll star - and a gentleman. Those 2 ding dongs look idiotic - and quite rude as well. That is NOT what you say when someone obviously misses their Mom who has passed on. Complete lack of class - look like a couple robots who have no clue who they're talking to.
And this is from the States! We love him here!
The DJs always got requests for "You Drive Me Crazy" back in the 80s. He was playing in every bar I worked in - as well as went to. That's a lotta bars!
Glad to see you still rock Shaky!
@@jamesjameson4566 Their interviews are absurd. Cringeworthy. This was one of the worst.
One of the most talented rockers! Know that you have many fans all over the world and I love you!
We all love a bit of Shakin Steven's...
It doesn't matter what age you are !!!
Everyone loves Shaky, thoroughly decent man who brought so much joy ❤️👍
There was not a record or poster or badge cushion etc that I didn’t have of shakys. He was a god to my 14 year old self in the early 80s. Oh how I adored him ❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋 he looks fantastic still at 75 xx
Zawsze on był nieśmiały, on dalej jest. Ja kocham go! Co starość robi z ludźmi, i tak jest piękny. On stworzył moje życie, on wpłynął na moje życie. On jest cudowny!
LEGEND 🎶 🎤 he had some great hit songs in the 1980s.....and one of Christmas times all-time classic songs ....Great to still shaky still going strong àt 75.
Amazing, still singing after 54 years, started way back in 1969 as Shakin Stevens and the Sunsets, Played Elvis in the West End tribute musical "Elvis" in 1977, then went on to even greater success in the 1980s and early 1990s.
He’s Welsh so he’s got to be a good singer, and this is from an English man. What a lovely humble man & looking great. An inspiration for us baby boomers to stay looking cool! Rock on Shakey!
Great to see Shaky still churning out the music, and he looks great at 75 years old.
Clearly had a good life.
Incredible
Churning it out! Is that how its served now?
He was sooo good looking in his younger years. An Elvis lookalike and for sure he modelled a lot of himself on the King
@@OGA_999 yes he was 👍🙏
What an absolute legend 👏
I was brought up on Elvis, Cash, Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves in the early 80s cos it was my Dads vinyl. Shaky came along and i was in utter awe, he was on top of the pops doing the same.
I'm Welsh and of course at that time I didn't know he was Welsh. Proper star in my eyes from a very young age.
I used to try and impersonate him as a show for my parents and went up on my toes for a split second. oh the happy days
He’s awsome. Lovely guy
I'm glad this interview showed up in my CZcams feed. Shakey looks amazing & his new song proves how he still has his finger society's post. Pity he was patronised by weak interviewers.
Loved (Michael barratt) aka shaky growing up in the 80s. Awesome memories of my childhood ❤️ still got the album shaky & the singles green door & you drive me crazy & this ole house. Timeless classics that will never grow old.
great to see Shakin' Stevens doing fine!!
Uwielbiam Pana piosenki
Pozdrawiam z Polski
A friend of mine's husband used to be in a cabaret band and first met Shaky on the circuit in the early 70s long before his West End and pop career. Won't have a word said against him.
Brilliant singer, true gentleman. Should be on TV more. One off our last heroes.xx
thank goodness he's not.
the most charismatic artist possible! Modest, beautiful, ready to give everything for the public, directly to the public!
I don't care what others say, but Sakin Stevens will be considered by the second generation Elvis!
Shakey is the real deal, great music and super great artist! Brings back good memories.
When stevie said I miss my mother so much, I started crying ❤️ miss both my parents ❤️ YOU CAN SENSE HE WAS CLOSE TO HIS DEAR MOTHER, RIP all our loved ones God bless you all amen 🙏 I a youngest sibling also, glad to see him back wish him more success 👌👍
But the way she replied "I bet" annoyed the heck out of me. So very insensitive and cold.
@@Saxonybedwitch She's absolutely vile. Also that hideous, nasal, sneering tone she always uses 👹
@@Saxonybedwitch I noticed the I bet comment aswell, sounded sarcastic,
I've no doubt you miss your mother, I miss mine too, she took me to see Shaky when I was 12, he was great of course. Good to see him making new (and good!) music again.
@@anthonycraig1458 hi mate, such memories with your dear mother, thank you for sharing with us 👍 you gonna see shaky next available live show,? It's your job to do the same to a youngster, but I doubt the youngster you do take if you do may not enjoy it 🤣
Shaky is a legend - what a pair of twits interviewing him. No iota whatsoever about music or popular culture.
Great to see Shaky and what an excellent and surprising new song.
Shakey you bloody legend. Had all your albums on vinyl. Each year for Christmas my mum and dad would buy me one. Personal.favourite is Julie. And you Xmas song is truly one of the best. Good luck ol' pal. You were a huge part of my upbringing. The greatest hits cd is also very cool. Cheers from sunny Australia 🇦🇺.
A true talent, quite under-appreciated outside of the UK. The 80s were even more special 'cause of the retro music he brought to a younger audience. LEGEND! 🩵
Shaky was pretty popular in Australia back in the day.
booh12469 ... He has of course been singing since 1969, back then it was Shakin Stevens and the sunsets.
Ele é muito querido no Brasil mas nunca veio aqui nos presenciar com a sua música
@@darrincassidy9045 And HUGE in parts of Europe
Hey there's a whole bunch of us across the pond who love Shaky!
Still love him! At least in NJ. Someone played him for my friend - she played him for me and then we just passed his stuff around to everyone we knew.
Back then the local bars had live music almost every night with a DJ playing when the band took a break. You Drive Me Crazy was played constantly. Stephen King even mentions him in one of his books. Believe me he has fans here.
I definitely agree with everyone else - what rocket scientist had these 2 ding dogs interview him?
Lovely man - real class. I'm glad he's still making music.
Shaky is an absolute legend and its great he’s still doing what he loves. Unfortunate for him he had to suffer these two morons.
😆😆😆
Loved him in the 80s love him still ❤✌️💜
Great song, good to see him back.
He was a breath of fresh air ,a reminder of Elvis in his younger years and we all loved him, I agree he was part of Christmas.
Elvis Show made him famous. He was the young skinny version. 😉
Now I’m a ex punk ... obviously shaking Stevens isn’t top of my music list.. but I like the sound I like the song and I like the fact he’s doing what he thinks is right. Good on you shakey. 👍
So Wot ,,,, krasss 👍
A lovely man He must be really missing his mum as he talks about his mum on every interview I've seen him in while promoting his new album ReSet
There's a track on the new album called, "May." That's about his mother. It must've brought a lot of repressed feelings to the surface, a lot of sad memories and the reminder that she is no longer here. It's a beautiful song but I can imagine how difficult it must've been for him.
Saw shaky life a few times in the 80’s love him he’s a legend 🥰
My sister was absolutely nuts about this guy. She used to dress like him and dance like him at discos and now every time I see him it makes me smile thinking back to those days. I still have most have his songs on my playlist! ❤️
Shakey still got it❤ He's still good looking❤You can see how his Parent's raised him❤
Ohh superb to see this! Thanks a lot for uploading this interview with him!🙏🤗🎶
Thanks for this as I missed it. Shaky’s a legend, been a fan since the early 1980’s. Love the new album
I have been a fan since the early 1970s, guys a legend, he started way back in 1969 as Shakin Stevens and the Sunsets.
I'm a true English man and I know Shakey is Welsh, but I thought the guy was a brush of fresh air at the time, and a underestimated talent. Nice to see he is still performing. P. S. I thought his version of Pinks Trouble was unbelievable and did not get the credit it deserved
Seeing him with this band is amazing, really play powerfully
Sparkesman ... Yes, Shakey has been singing for a long time, was originally Shakin Stevens and the sunsets way back in 1969. The guy is a legend.
@@ManchesterCowboy0161 Agreed.
Seeing shakin Stevens on here brings back some fond memories growing up back in the early 80s👍good times indeed🤩if only I had a Time Machine☺️
A blast from the past. Great stuff.
Seem like an akward interview especially when Shakey said he missed his mum there was a deep pause from the interviewer who kinda brushed it off with the comment I bet. Lazy and kinda rude reply in my opinion.
Absolutely right! I was just saying the same to my husband and came to see if anyone felt the same. 3:27 Very awkward and quite frankly rude moment.... "I bet" she said with no sincerity at all. I really felt for him, he was saying how much
he missed his dear mother for heaven's sake! Shocking!
@@traceytaylor2041 Agree fully found the interview rude towards Shakey and how much he misses his mum.
😐He's a lovely guy. Met him couple times. And yes, he obviously had very deep feelings for his beloved mother. ❤
Deserved to be interviewed by better then these two ignorant excuses as presenters
Totally agree. I'm no TV presenter but instead of "I bet", would it have hurt her to say "Of course you miss her" or "Well I can tell you miss her" then say: "can you tell us about your mother? She must have been very proud of her boy."
Great to see him still rocking at 75. Followed shaky when he was associated with the sunsets.👍
Yep, way back in 1969.
SHAKEY SHAKEY SHAKEY,, ONE OF THE BESTS ROCK N ROLLERS TO ENTER IN THE LATE 70`S EARLY 80`S I HAVE ALL his albums
He started way back in 1969 with Shakin Stevens and the Sunsets.
So much warmth and empathy from Naggy when he said he missed his mum 👎
He went off script, she can't compute.
Bring back some decent music we need it nowadays 😢❤❤❤
MORE CLOWNS IN THE BBC THAN THE CIRCUS.
Nice to see Shaky still going, loved him in the 80s, but cant stand these 2 presenters, get rid of them.Especially the woman.
Lovely guy modest man can't get better
That new album is amazing!!!!!
I`m from Brazil... I love this singer!!!!!
Kept his feet on the ground what a lovely family god bless them in 1981 came back from some where and it was the first time I'd seen shaking stavens and I thought he was brilliant he looked like Elvis and moved liked him but at the same time he was different I can't explain it looked like Elvis even danced like him but yet he was different it was very strange but loved him ❤,💚
Yep. Exactly. Elvis but better somehow.
We will always love Shakey ❤
Good Luck Shakin'. All The Best. Nice Album. Got it. Love it.
Love all his songs, a groomed and refined person forever legend ❤
SHAKE!! GOOD quality perform,AND FANSTANIC singer AND a true gentman 🤔 not many about these days 👍❤ KEEP ROCKING 🎶🎶🎶 REGARDS TO YOU AND FAMILY A FAN
I heard All You Need Is Greed on radio Scotland a few days ago before seeing this interview. Its a great song, reminiscent of Robert Plants songs of a few years back, with a great message. Shakey comes across as a really nice guy.
Who's idea was it to have these two interviewing such a talented guy like Shaky.
Got his album on vinyl for Christmas loved it favourite track 'you drive me crazy' Phenomenal singer at his peak still good at 75!
Awesome career and he's got that massive spirit of great singers.
God bless Shaky
Love Shakin Stevens !
❤LEGENDARY 🕺🏿
They really didn't have a bloody clue, did they?
Sou apaixonada pelo shakin!
Those woke presenters don’t have a clue.
I’m into all kinds of music folk , prog , punk , classic rock, but the first ever record I bought was This ole house great song 🎸👍🥁
Which was a No.1 hit back in the '50s for Rosemary Clooney (George's aunty) - way before Shaky's version.
Love♥ this man. Superstar in his hey-day😎🎤🎸
7:33 great performer! Great songs !nice to see he's still got a passion for his music
thankyou for sharing this 🙂
What a good man❤
Watched him and the Sunsets many times in the 70's. Great nights.
The BBC needs defunded NOW !!!!
Great stuff ..love this guy
Still dyeing his hair at 75, trying to look younger, unfortunately time is unstoppable.
Jesus.… Haven’t seen him for many years. Unrecognisable. (+ that woman is irritating.)
AMO ESTE CANTOR ATE HOJE E SEMPRE ❤❤❤
They need a lesson in interview techniques 😂
Nice one 👍 shaky and thanks for the music 🎶
Real life is very different from their Star life. Met him after one of his early gigs with The Sunsets. So many years ago 1970! ❤
What was he like?
Very slim dark hair. Quiet seemed a bit surprised we all hung round to meet him.
Wow !! Sounds great!
God he used to be my heart throb he used to be so good looking guy😊.
But we all get older it's part of nature god bless shaky ❤
He’s aged but he looks pretty decent for the age he is- he reminds me of Leonard Nimoy
Still has a good voice
Oh Julie’ was the first single I ever bought in 1984, aged seven, with my WH-SMITHS or BOOTS gift voucher, can’t remember, I got from Christmas 1983 and I still have it!
It might have been Christmas 1981 that you got the voucher because "Oh Julie" was in the charts January 1982.
If it was and you were seven in '82 then we are the same age!
I also bought that single!
@@Cosford869 ... I bought it also and still have it. Although I have been around a lot longer than you, I remember Shaky when he was with Shakin Stevens and the Sunsets, they started way back in 1969.
@@martinwebb1681 My late mum was a big fan of Shaky mate. I guess she would be in your age group (born in the fifties).
She also bought me his greatest hits cassette tape for Christmas '84. Happy days and happy memories of mum. 👍🏻
Right off the bat, they got his name wrong. It's Shaky, not Shakin! Seriously?! Also, the, "I bet." Was pretty rude. She could've been more compassionate, the guy clearly missed his mother, he was very close to her. Very cold and blunt.
Yes, I thought the same thing. I felt for him when he said that but there was absolutely no reaction from her.
It's Shakin Stevens
@@hilaryepstein6013 Munchetty always seems a bit emotionless to me....Shaky probably felt a bit uneasy there..
@@topps9647 Munchetty is vile.
🙈 well best of luck to shackin Steven Stevens 👍🏻 God Bless 🙏🏻

Agree. Pair of idiots.
Oi meu lindo !!!❤
