Thanks for the brief explanations of the controls. Been getting hit a lot due to the down time from an adept dodge and not knowing how to run afterwards.

I was hoping you can add the armor set or skills recommended for your tutorial videos so we can have a better grasp of what to aim for if we plan to use that particular weapon. Thank you
Yep that's why I started making videos. Other well known creators only show players the surface.

Could someone please share what the EXACT button inputs after adept evading to be able to AIM and SHOOT at the right height instantly are?
E.g. X, Adjust camera height, L+Up, R+A (with Type 1 settings).
I can dodge and immediately shoot in the monster's direction, but I can't aim or adjust the height without cancelling the quick shot, so I usually miss the right area.

Type 1 controls wonky as hell
i ve tried for hours (maybe dozens of hours) to do the vertical thing, but it s just impossible. My character will always aim in the direction he is watching at the end of the evade (99% of the time not looking at the monster...)
to clarify : after the evade, i m able to shift to 180 degrees then shoot, but it will always be shot horizontally, so for monsters like rathalos flying i wont be hitting him.
I can't do the adept dodge aim thing no matter how hard I try. Then again, I never bothered learning to use the L trigger aim thing cause I just didn't vibe with it. Also being a more HBG guy myself I've gotten used to manually aiming after valor run and the muscle memory messed me up lol.
Now we only need Valor CB

Why is Valor LBG not good? Is it simply because the buff from Valor-reload doesn't increase damage (and instead reduces recoil)?
I mostly play Valor GS and Valor HBG, so I'm concerned that I'm too accustomed to Valor-dodging to use Adept LBG. So I want to know what exactly I'm giving up if I use Valor LBG.
its just that adept is better compared to valor lbg, u are really aggressive with adept and can dodge any move by evading and get a small damage modifier

Great vid, Apex. Just a quick question:
What is the Type 1 for? I used to rely on L and then R so that the aim auto-points to where the camera is looking at after pressing it (the monster). Now, with Type 1, it’s the other way around and I often find myself aiming else where. Would like your opinion whether I should commit to Type 1 cause of some benefit
yep only use type 1 because it lets u aim after a adept evade and instant aim.
I see. By any chance do you have a full video of you killing a monster with LBG? I think I could learn a bit about positioning, when not to shoot, where to aim, and an overall on what things should I improve

practicing my aim though after an adept evade. sometimes i get it right sometimes i don't.
still not sure what i have to do exactly. for example what do i press in order to shoot at a monster if it comes straight at me? if i turn the camera to face the monster my hunter sometimes looks in the wrong direction lol.
aiming at it if i dodge to the side works better, but a 180 degree turn is giving me problems.
when a monster is coming at u just point the L stick to that direction and press A to shoot.

Is it possible to aim with type 2? I find it really difficult to use type 1 when shooting normally, because having to rely on where my character faces for where the reticle appears is really difficult for me.
It's only possible with type 1.

Controls for gunning are soo counter intuitive and crap.

in adept style just press B in exact moment when monster attack you. try practice this with macao or narga.
I don’t understand How to shoot the monster after power reloading because when i try, thé caméra is hold on monster but my shoots aren’t... what is your settings for lbg ?

depends on bullet tho i only use pierce 1
