    Thanks for the idea! I have a slightly more optimized macro based on this:
    /hotbar display 10
    /hotbar display 9 off
    /hotbar display 8 off
    /wait 5
    /hotbar display 10 off
    This makes it so that only one class hotbar is displayed at a time. The last line is also better as it ensures that the hotbar will hide and not toggle after 5 seconds.

      storing the setup in a basic job and get them be copied to a shared hot bar would be more space efficient, one bar for the macro(s) and one bar for the past target or have a circulating one ... like /hotbar copy MRD 1 share 10

    • @RaujiArtz
      @RaujiArtz Před 2 lety

      hello, i actually tried this it did work for some parts but the hiding using /wait 5 and hotbar display num off seems to have a conflict with the job change macro that has a emote assign to it such /snap. so mainly it hides the jobs listed if no activity detected within 5 secs instead hide after switch has been executed

  • @Aioaverona

    Alternatively, if you guys want, you could do is /hotbar copy "class plus hot bar number" share x where X is the number for your hotbar. For me its /hotbar copy MCH 5 share 4 and /hotbar copy MCH 6 share 4 which act as a scrolling menu to change when you click the macro. Just be sure that under character config>hot bar settings> sharing you have the hotbar marked as to what you want to be shared.

    Thats pretty clever. I currently use a ton of hotbars and had to use the cross hotbars as extra room but i might have to think about reorganizing for something like this

    You can also make macros for changing jobs that after changing will hide the hotbar, but this will take a lot of macro slots

    • @TheRedAzuki
      @TheRedAzuki Před 3 lety

      Use a command like this.
      /hotbar copy LTW 10 current 9
      /hotbar display 9
      LTW can just be whichever job (Or crafter/gather) you want. And then you'll copy LTW 10 hotbar to your 9th bar on current class. so hotbar 10 on LTW could be your dps macro UI.
      /hotbar copy LTW 8 current 9
      /hotbar display 9 and now you can make one with hotbar 8 and now whenever you press that macro, it will turn your hotbar 9 into whatever you got in LTW hotbar 8.
      FYI, put all your macros that do this into a shared hotbar, and then use another hotbar to 'replace' whatever the macro is designed to show.
      You got 10 classes (such as conjurer and stuff like that you won't ever be using after you get white mage) so there you've like 10*10 hotbars. You also got all your crafters & gatherers who won't be using all of theirs. So effectively you've about 160+ hotbars you can play with at the cost of 2.

  • @TheRedAzuki
    @TheRedAzuki Před 3 lety +3

    There's a far better way to do this. Let's say you put this entire dps setup on your LTW, cuz you won't use all 10 hotbars. Now you've the set up on LTW
    now make the following macro /hotbar copy LTW 10 current 9
    /hotbar display 9 . This will now copy the setup you've on hotbar 10 on LTW and transfer it to your current hotbar 9 (Which could be let's say BRD.) Now you're technically able to see the hotbar you're using on LTW but while in BRD. So you don't need to use 4hotbars like you're using.

    • @IlyaDalamiq
      @IlyaDalamiq  Před 2 lety +3

      go to the hotbar settings and turn on/off shared hotbars. my first 5 hotbars are the ones that have job related actions on them, so those aren't shared. the others i use for the menus/items and such that i want easy access on on all jobs, so those are shared.
