    At a listed weight of only 79 LBS, this is the lightest long range 2880 watt-hour electric bike I've tried - and it can fold up into a small space when you're done riding. Competitors ebikes weigh over 110 LBS, which will significantly affect range especially for stop and go riding. Combined with relative light weight of this folding electric bike, the 3 levels of pedal assist are optimized in a way to deliver gentle power delivery which translates into maximizing mileage.
    The icing on the cake is you can fold the ebike up and tuck it away into a small space at the end of the day, unlike the other 48v60ah battery electric bikes I've reviewed.
    This very well may be the LONGEST Range Ebike That's Actually Good, now I just need to prepare myself for 8 hours in the saddle to actually test it.

    Im thinking most if not all 20in fat tire bikes are not much fun to "bike" on without pedal assist. I have one and its fun to ride as long as the battery is charged. More an electric moped IMO. The fat tires do make for a nice ride at the expense of more rolling resistance and less maneuverability.

    • @mikaelangeloh2316
      @mikaelangeloh2316 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Of course they’re not fun to ride without pedal assist. They’re not meant to be used that way. Who would want to ride a stupendously heavy fatbike?
      The pedal assist is what makes an electric bike an electric bike. That’s its raison d’être. The throttle is what makes it a moped. Those aren’t allowed here in Europe.

    Definitely a long range cruiser, and more balanced than the Aniioki. Seems underpowered though. When you have more power you tend to use the power in bursts rather than just holding it full throttle. My folder would use 28 watt hours per mile when I had a 35amp controller. Now I use 25 watt hours per mile when "hooning it", and that's with a 96 amp controller. I barely have to get on the throttle to get moving.

    Great bike design. They don't market a 2nd "internal" battery option yet, but all ebikes should have 2, even if 99% of the time you only use 1. Just easier to always have a fully charged one on standby. A much lighter (under 7lb) internal battery will make the bike 65 lbs. Integrated rack makes it a great 400lb cargo bike. 2nd internal battery would make it awesome touring bike with 8a charger.
    Yolin display definitely allows up to 9 PAS levels, and programable to full/custom power each level. Also battery bar levels are programmable. KD986 (or other KD) display are compatible and offer USB and voltage reading. It is cheaper (in NA) and should come standard on ebikes over the Yolin one. Yolin display has the advantage of those gigantic +/- buttons, but you can splice that into the KD986 if the Yolin ever cracks.
    Yolin/KD display also allows setting an amp limit on controller. Maybe dropping 1 amp would eliminate that motor cutoff issue?
    You are still testing pedaling wrong. Its not about whether the bike pedals at 0 assist. Its about how much power draw you can reduce at 20mph (or 10mph) steady speed by pedaling, so that you go further, and don't have to pedal a dead battery home.

    Crazy Thinking to match a 60 AMP battery with only a 750 Watt Motor? I think your two hill test demonstrate one potential pitfall of this design
    which is not having enough power for sustained inclines where the grade could be only 10%. For some people who have bad knees or are carrying cargo
    or just weigh over 200 lbs you might run into situation's where pedaling is mandatory before the motor cuts out. It's a shame they cut corners on the
    750 Watt battery, if they could have given the 1000 Watt battery like the other two popular 60 AMP competitors, they would corner a niche end of the market
    having the foldable design, it's definitely a risk to think 750 watt's is always going to be enough power, and remember the weight of apx 80 lbs is before you add the
    27 lbs for the battery plus any rear cargo, so 750 Watts is definitely risky especially when the battery is drained down to under 50% and as we've seen in other E-bikes
    the motor's performance can start to diminish when this happens. But for others who have been waiting for a very long range E-bike that folds regardless ,
    this is a great option at 1700.00 and it's nice to know they gave good suspension and good brakes evidently.

      that is not a battery but a motor problem , i have a 250 watts 13.2 amp hour tank that weighs 70+ pounds plus my 180 pounds, and i can go up hills of 10% like its nobody business. Also the watt rating is SUSTAINED Power.. peek power that can be maintained for quite a while is signifantly higher.

    Great reviews. I was wondering if you could ask if you can use the second battery connection? I'm taking it would fit the 20AH pack from the T5.
    Also, can you see if you can use the Aniioki or Eahora 60AH battery in it? I know you can't do the reverse because it doesn't have a pin connector but I know the Aniioki can discharge and charge using the same port/connector.
    Also, what are the fully folded dimensions? I'd like to bring on Amtrak and it says within 34" x 15" x 48".
    Thank you!

      I reached out to support and they said they use the same frame as the T5 and I looked, and there is a prongs that you can put in another battery, but they said the wiring is different so you can’t fit a second battery that’s what they claim

      Right but would this bike actually take a battery and work? If so, that could give the rider a choice of having a lighter-weight set up if they wanted. OR even a dual battery setup (which sounds redundant for this bike lol)

    Im seriously wondering if that middle empty tube can actually use a real battery, given that it has the connections. If that were the case (and i really hope someone can verify this for me) then that would give you the option to have a way lighter-weight setup, when you're not in the mood for the BIG battery. And then if i had to guess, you might even get a performance bump as well. And you could also even do a dual battery set up for those long weekend rides maybe lol

    • @watchmanonthewall14
      @watchmanonthewall14 Před 7 měsíci

      There is no perfect e bike that will satisfy every single itch. You can get a decent e bike that will do mostly what you need it to do, but some compromises will have to be made. You mentioned "distance". Well, the bike in this video will satisfy that need. But if you need to consistently climb hills, do NOT buy this bike. You can find a much better hill climber. Mid-motor bikes with 1000 W motors climb most hills well, and they are zippier, but there are down sides to mid motors, one being, more maintenance and pricier. Just as an example. I would say that if at all possible, test ride many of these bikes at bike shops that sell them. It's a better bet than ordering one online. Same with helmets. Try on several. Don't just order one online. Good luck finding the right bike for you. It's out there.

    26lbs for a 60ah battery seems too light; I know for a fact 20ah batteries weigh over 10 on average. Probably using a cheap Chinese pack. It may be a combination of iffy batteries combined with a weak motor that makes it kind of work though. That hill test failure makes this a hard no for me. But as always, a good review!
