Wish I had all your plastic grocery bags....they always come in handy! We don't have them in NY anymore! Love your new sofa! It fits perfectly in your living room! Just saw a short where someone took a broken plastic pot, and painted it and planted the flowers or herbs or grasses laying down, coming out of the crack and then in the pot as regular! So glad you took the week off and relaxed! Looking foreward to seeing the new major projects!😊❤
Has the shredded cardboard improved the soil in your garden or did you rake it out? I am thinking about buying a cardboard shredder...was it worth it?
For Us it helped ! We used it 2 years ,it is now all composted and we will give the ground a year rest

Glad you were able to get a new sofa. What a blessing and so much fun. I like to get new things for my home when I can. I use my furniture for a long time like you do tessie.
Tip on your roll up greenhouse doors that I found helped me to roll them easier. I stapled a dowl rod to the bottom of the flap and I roll it up using the ends of the dowel, makes for a tighter easier roll up and the weight of it helps to keep the door flap down better when not up. I used about a 3/4-1” rod and cut it to about 2” wider than panel so I could hold ends to roll with ease. Because it’s tighter roll the ties die up better also.

Tomato seeds are usually so easy to grow but this year I used seeds from two different packs and not one germinated! That's concerning. I think it's time I learn how to save seeds from my garden. I had to buy tomato plants from a garden center.

Tessie, your whole lifestyle us called slow living. You gave so many examples. You use seeds instead if expensive plants. Line dry instead of using a dryer. Canning, baking bread, harvesting herbs to make salves and tinctures, etc. Slow living saves money!!

Tessie I agree with you about the metal garden beds. We made ours out of wood pallets. The wood just seems so natural and blends in with the garden more so than metal beds.
