While refusing to call the late Arizona Senator John McCain, a hero during his time served in the Vietnam War. It's the very war that "Cadet Bone Spurs" dodged the draft over five times in the past. As Robert Reich points out 'We The People' are the consumers and we are the ones with the power. For example: I haven't purchased a Koch Industries product in a couple of decades. STOP giving them your money, they can't buy the politicians. A list of their paper products: Angelsoft, Brawny, Dixie, Mardi Gras, Quilted Northern, Soft n Gentle, Sparkle, Vanity Fair. A few years ago I drove to 3 different home improvement stores trying to buy rolls of insulation simply because I would not buy Georgia-Pacific insulation. Wake up America!

Just because the NY Times can be held liable for misrepresentations and slander and the NY Times carries an EIN number the NY Times should not be entitled as a citizen. Corporate law enables corporations to operate as separate entities from the citizens who run them. Or non-citizens who run them. That separation is to protect individuals from corporate liabilities essentially shielding them as citizens from any improprieties occurring or allegedly occurring in said individuals business(es). Business is separate from personal.
A worldwide birth control so as the natural death rate surpasses the live birth rate until the human populations of the world fall under 1 billion (1800's levels), but ideally closer to population levels prior to the pre-industrial society. Starting with a 5 year stop birth worldwide and then a measured birth rate defined by the mathematicians and others to reach this massive human endeavor to save the Earth from our own thoughtlessness and behaviors. As the climate changes by unnatural human intervention the flora and fauna changes as well in all habitats and environments. And when these changes happen to the surrounding areas, many of the flora and fauna will not adapt and will not be able to relocate to an environment that will keep the species alive, they will begin dying by the tens-of-thousands, from the tiniest lifeforms to the small and then the larger creatures... that includes 'We' or us.

Number two, the individuals running the businesses still remain insulated from the business’s exposure to liability. This Corporations United agreement is a very unbalanced one sided argument. Corporations are businesses employing many people however their financial lobbying leverage may far exceed any average individuals power to donate proportionately and support the candidate of their choosing running for office.

If candidates running become beholden to large corporate donors then how much does that dilute any individual's voter prowess. Who is the the elected official going to listen too. Employees may not even want to vote the same way as their employer and should not be conglomerated into such efforts to influence ultimately nullifying their vote at the voting booth. Yes it’s a percentages game and the shark takes many bites here and their and this is just one of them.
Because businesses are insulated from personal life and personal life is insulated from business by corporate law it makes no sense to entitle businesses the recognition as citizens to influence or support representatives for several reasons. Number one being of course that some businesses can afford to project large sums of money to influence lawmakers to lobby in their favor. This can result in an unfair advantage for businesses over actual citizens to get their representative to lobby in their favor.
Under Citizens United are International Business Corporations also treated as citizens if a portion of their profits comes from domestic profits accounted for through an US EIN number? Yea, think about that.
I feel compelled to point out that as all the trees burn in California, the climate change gets worse. Trees give us oxigen. We breathe oxigen. If the trees are gone they don't give off oxigen and we have less oxigen to breathe. The problem does not confine it's self to California. Oxigen in the air here in Michigan gets thinner as trees burn in California.

Business is separate from personal and not considered the same as citizenship. Or at least it wasn’t until Citizens United was passed into law and business should still be separate. They still are held responsible for any actions, services or products that they perform or offer the public within fair business practice regulations and can be held liable for oversights, missteps or faulty performance to protect the public from outright hucksters..

If we want to live to see another day and if we want our country, our democratic republic to survive we need to make some serious adjustments and yesterday is none too soon.
