Hi Jennifer, Your way of explaining things is really great. I faced an error message and I am unable to use it. Could you please suggest to me to resolve an issue? The error is shown as The wizard could not start. Make sure your audio hardware is working properly and check your audio configuration in the Audio Devices and Sound Themes control panel. Thank you

Jennifer - thanks for a great, easy-to-follow tutorial. I need to transcribe from video lectures (which are presented through my lecturer's Facebook channel). If I may ask: Will Google Docs Speech to Text allow me to auto-transcribe if I have a lecture playing concurrently through Facebook on the built in speaker on the same PC? Or do I need to find another app to achieve this? I would be grateful for your guidance - Thank you in advance.

thank you for this. i just tried using Google docs but i'm going to give up on it. It's no good when you have a format to follow. The cursor's off and in a table, somehow, it becomes super laggy that it becomes more work for me than copying and pasting it feels like. I think I prefer using your suggestion of Voice In and Otranscribe. Not sure if anyone else has the same problem as I do with Google docs. And their voice recognition is not as good as Voice in. Surprisingly but not that surprising either.

This looks like a great tool for uncomplicated audio samples. But does this process work well if your audio file is a real-time conversation, with the typical starts and stops and overlaps etc?
is there a way to upload an mp3 as an example and let google trunscribe the text ? Basically not dictating just uploading the recorded audio ?

I have done it with docs on android and also it pick up and transcribed voice from the tv. Yes it can be done if no background noise.

I just tried the Windows 10 Speech Recognition that came with my new hp laptop. It sucks really, really bad so I started downloading the Chrome browser - since it's required for the Google Docs voice feature - but after downloading it said it can't complete the process until I'm out of S-mode.
Isn't that not a safe thing to do? I know it's irreversible.
Also, would this transcribe the audio from any CZcams videos? (I would love to have sections of Kris Anne Hall's YT videos in text form. It would save me so much time).
You can SAY the punctuation as you read. If you say COMMA when there is a comma it will put it in and put in ALL other punctuation. You can tell it NEW LINE and NEW PARAGRAPH as well.

Gentleman, I am looking for Vice to text expanders in any tool. I wand to say code in voice which returns a sentence.
Is there any setting required for continuous voice typing? After one sentence it stop and not able to recognized.
So how can i do it without voice typing if i have to transcribe the audio file from transcribe me on google docs as I really found your video really helpful. If you could really put another video out there, that would be be really helpful for us

I live in California and with the Assembly Bill 5, it's not letting me apply to any transcription websites. I'm just starting college and want to work online at my own rate. Jennifer because I had a stroke Samsung voice does not understand my voice as good as Google Voice and everytime I switch it back to Google Voice it goes back to Samsung voice again

This is much better programing I am trying to write a book but I have dyslexia it gets hard for me to know what I am trying at times.

Hello! How about capturing speech to text from a video conference?
When I do this, it types out everything slowly. It pauses/loads before each word finally types out.

How does this compare to Grammarly free tool? My Virus protection flagged Language tools, stating there is No reviews.
Q- throw it into Language Checker? , how is that done? Can you drag n drop it into Language Checker in dual screen mode or do you highlight copy n paste? Guess I'm not sure, when there is multiple App's, what procedure is applicable, especially for what's in Google Doc.'s functionalities. Thanks for any clarity on this, kind regards Diana
I think highlight copy and paste works best!
Google Docs Voice Typing suddenly stop working after 5 minutes and then a window appears with written: Try to load it again or send an error report. And on the microphone icon appears a window with written: You're offline. Voice typing can't be used until you reconnect.
I checked my internet connection and it'working and it's stable.
My microphone is working well. I cleared the cache and data in chrome and reboot the laptop and did not help.
i'm using Windows 10 and the google chrome version is: 92.0.4515.159 (64 bit)

Good day and I hope you come across my message. I'm new to your channel and I'm a type about 50-60wpm. How can I get started with employment and an easy way to transcribe or proofread work or whatever is out there. This is something new for me to work from home which I'm eager to learn. I'm 52 years old, transitioning in being single and I'm an old school learner but willing to learn the new technology in hopes in landing a employment so I don't deplete my savings in paying my bills. I've seen your video Google Docs and still a bit confused, only because I'm a hands on learner. Please help if all possible.
