I couldn't understand the different scenarios that the various isolation levels prevent as explained in "Database System Concepts" by Abraham Silberschatz. After watching this video I totally get it.

To prevent the non repeatable read it acquired the lock on the row which is read and no one can update the same row until transaction is complete, correct?
