The master with the extremely calloused knuckles is Pan Quing Fu. He played himself in a movie called Iron and Silk. I read a lot about him in Black Belt magazine back in the day lol. Apparently he used to help the Chinese cops round up criminals and Triads, he said when they would square up against him his first move was to punch their fists with his “iron fists” lol

It was sad when he passed away. Master Pan also starred in Jet Li's first starring role as a bad guy in the movie Shaolin Temple;it's a great movie.
The guy with the skint knuckles is a legit fighter who back in the day was hired to work with the Chinese police when he was under 20 years old to help arrest gangs. There's a documentary I saw about him telling his crazy real life story... including why his knuckles are discolored.
His knuckles look way more horrific in the documentary. Shows his daily routine of punching steel and resting hundreds of pounds of steel on his knees to stay 'limber'

This is one of my favorite episodes yet! Hilarious shoulder-mackin', flat-toppin' fun. But learning about The Last Kumite? The Billy Blanks reveal/text? Erin's reaction? Instant SBIG classic 🤣
I would really love to see a martial arts fight scene between Dolph Lundgren and Matthias Hues. Seriously, given they are both six feet five inches tall, muscular, still in great shape, and are highly skilled martial artists it would be an awesome fight to see! I also think their overall styles are similar given Lundgren is primarily trained in Kyokushin Karate (A champion in fact) while also dabbling in Boxing even after the Rocky movies and Matthias Hues holds a black belt in Taekwondo and is also a Kickboxer.
Dropping the news that Billy Blanks is in THE LAST KUMITE in this is probably my favorite SBIG moment of all time. It was like Christmas morning for Erin.

You guys gotta see "Timebomb". Billy Blanks is one of the main baddies in it and it stars Michael Beihn. It's basically a small scale "Bourne Identity" but it still has plenty of fights, shootouts, car chases and explosions.
I was such a fan of Billy Blanks when I was a kid the first movie I saw him in was King of the kickboxers and the first time I saw him as a good guy was in TC 2000. I really liked his team up movies especially when he teamed up with Roddy Piper.

I've been waiting for this one. My aunt worked for a company that got screener copies of VHS movies back in the day. This was one of them. Your series actually made me go look this one up months ago after I recognized Ponytail in a previous vid - and what a nostalgia trip this was.
I remember now, though, why youngster me enjoyed this movie so much. I don't think it was the martial arts.

He also says that Billy Blanks was excellent to work with, even worked with him later on another Canadian Toronto project and said working with Blanks/Jalal was extremely fun. At the time Canada was basically paying for movies to be made here.

I know this is an older video, but I just came across it. Pan Qing Fu was a famous Chinese martial artist. He was hired by the police back in China to bust up triads, and he also was an instructor for Chinese police and military special forces. He was in a lot of movies, including Iron and Silk in which he played himself. Those knuckles of his are not effects for the movie. Those are his legit knuckles. Part of his training was to hit an iron plate 1,000 times a day. Eventually, he left China to live in Canada where he taught wushu/kung fu and died in 2017.
I think this is your best episode that I've seen so far. Erin is obviously hot and bothered by Billy and Jason is all about Matthias. You guys ROCK!!!
