I just had my stereo 1550 NEX installed. I thought there was a cable to connect my iPhone 11 to the stereo? Is there not? Or am I having a hard time finding it
The Pioneer AVH-1550NEX includes a USB extension in the box. This is used to bring the USB port from the back of the receiver up into the passenger compartment of your vehicle, where you can plug in a USB flash drive or the cable for your iPhone 11. Please take a look at the video: You can see it here: czcams.com/video/xQnrwXSzxIs/video.html The USB extension is often installed in the vehicle glove box, or center console to keep it out of the way when not in use. You may want to call your installer to be sure the included USB extension was installed. The USB extension does not included an iPhone USB to Lightning cable. I recommend the USB to Lightning cable that came with your phone or a certified replacement cable. Don't expect a $1 cable at a gas station to work for Apple CarPlay. Just because a cable will charge the phone does not mean it will carry necessary data to operate Apple CarPlay.

Hello. My toyota corolla 201 does not have a built in USB port. I can still connect to Apple Carplay with Bluetooth rather than connecting to usb right?
Many Pioneer receivers work with wireless Apple CarPlay. However, please note the Pioneer AVH-1550NEX seen above, requires a wired connection through it's USB port to work with Apple CarPlay. If you are using the Pioneer AVH-1550NEX, during the receiver's installation, I recommend to put the USB extension, included with the receiver, in the vehicle's center console, or the glove box or some other easy to reach area. This makes the phone connection to the receiver easy and it can be hidden away when not in use. Does this unit have HD Radio?
No. The Pioneer AVH-1550NEX has an RDS tuner. It does not have an HD Radio tuner. I don't know what you're referring to. The Pioneer AVH-1550NEX works with Apple CarPlay with a wired connection through USB. Depending upon where you choose to install the USB connection for the receiver, you could have your phone in an easy to reach area when using CarPlay. Pioneer makes many receivers with Wireless Apple CarPlay. With wireless CarPlay, you can keep your phone in your pocket and still use CarPlay. What is up with the included remote control?? Don’t your remotes adjust audio/eq ect. functions anymore?? Can’t find anything online and it’s driving me nuts. It can control volume. Skip/play/pause and a few dvd functions(which you know-need those dvd buttons when your NOT driving but parked watching movies 2ft away) ....smh. Love the deck but extra $$ for a volume remote? Ill just use my phone for those basic controls.
I recommend to touch the screen to adjust the EQ, and other audio settings. As you mentioned, it's just 2ft away.
