You are incredible. Thank you so much for sharing all of this very helpful stuff with all of us Mamas!
This has been very clear and helpful as always in your video. Thank you🎉
You’re amazing. I was looking at multivitamins I can take & was hoping I could find it on your CZcams. & I did! Thank youuuuu
what are the multivitamins called ? Thank you
Great great information! Wish I knew this with my first pregnancy. Thank YOUU
How long should we supplement ourselves? I guess it is specific to anyone, but it was to have an idea 😊
Thank you so much for all of this post partum videos ... I went throught my first post partum very badly, in terms of physical and mental health... I decided to prepare myself a lot for the second one coming soon. Thank you so much for all your advices, I am sure this will help me a lot, and my family too 🥰
I'm doing my second birth at home, can't wait to see this baby face 😍
Great video thankyou !
Your voice is so soothing
@bridgetteyler what about "Needed" prenatal vitamin?
I’m confused. Should I take all the supplements you linked in description or choose only one?
I’m torn between naturelo postnatal multivitamin or rainbow light vibrance postnatal. Any takers?
Awesome & Informative, IS it bad to take both prenatals and postnatal? Or since Im nursing should I be taking just the postnatals? & should I be taking the probiotic on top of the pre/post natals?
Thanks Bridget!
Yes take probiotics on top of your postnatal and or prenatal im not sure about taking both. I probably wouldn't check and see what the daily values are and you can determine if its too much probably best to call your Dr office and ask them.
Hi Bridget, do you have recommended amounts of those vitamins and minerals while breastfeeding? Where do you go to learn about your supplements? Thank you!
I thought methyl folate was the way to go instead of folic acid since there has been many studies of the risks associated with folic acid since it is a synthetic form of folate !??🤔
What are your thoughts on placenta encapsulation?
I had an egg pie with a cinnamon raisin English muffin and coffee for breakfast. For lunch, I had a frozen coffee. Dinner is pop tarts.
Do you know if breastfeeding mom can take NAC?
Thank you for all of your videos Bridget, they have been so helpful for me, I really appreciate you!
I just want to say 1 thing, as a "vegan" it is quite frustrating that a lot of people assume that we are deficient in a lot of things and need to supplement to get our calcium, iron, protein,… Yes it takes some getting used to but when you do the research, it is actually so easy to get those nutrients from plants, that's where all the nutrients in meat and dairy come from in the first place. I don't want to sound preachy, mean or angry.
Me and my baby are healthy, my blood looks great and I have had a wonderful pregnancy so far without ever taking any other supplements but my prenatal and B12. Plants rock 😊
Greens contain much more calcium than most people would ever know 👌🏼
Delusional
How much choline should we be getting?
I take 3tbsp brewers yeast daily. I also take b complex. I was wondering if that may be too much b6 and Im actually ruining my supply. Any info you have heard? Should i drop complex?
How do you know if your body cant process folic acid?
I'm glad to hear I'm taking the right vitamins. Currently 2 weeks PP. I've been taking throughout my pregnancy and now
Prenatal with DHA
Probiotic
Vitamin D3
Magnesium, Calcium, and Zinc Combo
I'm going to start taking the vitamin D with the combo pill. Thanks for the info ❤
My prenatal has everything you listed as far as supplements except selenium, iodine, and choline. Is there a recommended brand or complex formula so I don't have to buy all of these separately?
Inam currently using Naturelo Postnatal Multivitamin. It doesn’t have much calcium but has the rest of what mentioned here
Any suggestions for baby blues? 😅 I had a hard time when i had my first child and i don’t want to experience the baby blues again with my second so im looking for any supplement to avoid or to make me more calm and relax.. so if anyone know please tell me 🙏🏻
There are a few nutrients that, if low, can lead to mild depression or just feeling off: vitamins D and B12, iron, and more. It would be good to consult a nutritionist and/or psychiatrist. A doctor may offer medication, but you can always specify that you want to address the underlying issue rather than medicate.
Good luck! I had postpartum anxiety that developed about 4 months after I gave birth, which I didn't know was possible at that point. It's so important to be informed and engaged in your own care.
You might also checkout the Your Parenting Mojo podcast episode about parental burnout. It's not the baby blues, but I found it interesting and you might, too.
Also, FYI, everyone should be taking a B12 in gummy or spray form about 1 or 2 times a week. The B12 in multivitamins isn't always effective.
And, there is more than one type of iron. Try to keep your heme iron intake low or zero. Beans, lentils, and other whole plant foods are healthier sources of iron.
Pale Compass thank you so SO much for helping! Yes last time I checked Vitamin D was so low perhaps thats the reason i felt off.. thank you again for the advice 🥺
Hi. Try taking St. John's Wort, give it at least a month to see results. It's an herb that can help boost mama's mood 💛
Is it safe to give collagen to 12 month old?
How long should you continue these supplements?
I think 6 months.
Six months if not breastfeeding, and if you breastfeed as long as you breastfeed.
Should you take collagen _during_ pregnancy? Is it safe?
I have the same question 🙋🏻♀️
I take it! Pregnant with my 3rd and I’ve taken it during every pregnancy and have always had my midwives be thrilled that I was taking it. I’ve also had very elastic and flexible skin (yes even down there!) and I am sure the collagen helped with that! ❤️ I won’t ever be pregnant or breastfeeding without using a healthy amount of collagen (as well as gelatin like from bone broth).
Hope this is helpful. 😊
I’d like to point out that if someone is following a plant based or vegan diet, vitamins and minerals found in foods such as dairy are also in plants. For example, tofu, oranges, broccoli, kale, beans and so much more have great amounts of calcium. Everyone needs to be supplementing, not just those on plant based diets. :)
I thought this was going to show/give examples of actual postpartum brands/examples.
I’m 9 months postpartum and I stopped taking my iron pills and prenatal pills after the 1st month and now I’m extremely tried every day I’m 9months postpartum and I came here to see if I need to start back taking prenatal vitamins?😩
Take medicine omega 3 is good in for depression 🙂🙂that’s my secret
I think you should. No harm in it. Your body lost so much between pregnancy and birth. Prenatal vitamins are similar to multivitamins for child bearing aged women. This is my 3rd pregnancy, and I plan to take supplements for as long as I breastfeed, and probably beyond that.
Just more crap to buy & stressful
wht abt graphics..? too much talking...something to visually save in the kitchen?...blablabl
