    Awesome & Informative, IS it bad to take both prenatals and postnatal? Or since Im nursing should I be taking just the postnatals? & should I be taking the probiotic on top of the pre/post natals?
    Thanks Bridget!

      @jlovejamie Před 3 lety +1

      Yes take probiotics on top of your postnatal and or prenatal im not sure about taking both. I probably wouldn't check and see what the daily values are and you can determine if its too much probably best to call your Dr office and ask them.

    Thank you for all of your videos Bridget, they have been so helpful for me, I really appreciate you!
    I just want to say 1 thing, as a "vegan" it is quite frustrating that a lot of people assume that we are deficient in a lot of things and need to supplement to get our calcium, iron, protein,… Yes it takes some getting used to but when you do the research, it is actually so easy to get those nutrients from plants, that's where all the nutrients in meat and dairy come from in the first place. I don't want to sound preachy, mean or angry.
    Me and my baby are healthy, my blood looks great and I have had a wonderful pregnancy so far without ever taking any other supplements but my prenatal and B12. Plants rock 😊

      There are a few nutrients that, if low, can lead to mild depression or just feeling off: vitamins D and B12, iron, and more. It would be good to consult a nutritionist and/or psychiatrist. A doctor may offer medication, but you can always specify that you want to address the underlying issue rather than medicate.
      Good luck! I had postpartum anxiety that developed about 4 months after I gave birth, which I didn't know was possible at that point. It's so important to be informed and engaged in your own care.
      You might also checkout the Your Parenting Mojo podcast episode about parental burnout. It's not the baby blues, but I found it interesting and you might, too.

      @palecompass3598 Před 4 lety +2

      Also, FYI, everyone should be taking a B12 in gummy or spray form about 1 or 2 times a week. The B12 in multivitamins isn't always effective.
      And, there is more than one type of iron. Try to keep your heme iron intake low or zero. Beans, lentils, and other whole plant foods are healthier sources of iron.

      I take it! Pregnant with my 3rd and I’ve taken it during every pregnancy and have always had my midwives be thrilled that I was taking it. I’ve also had very elastic and flexible skin (yes even down there!) and I am sure the collagen helped with that! ❤️ I won’t ever be pregnant or breastfeeding without using a healthy amount of collagen (as well as gelatin like from bone broth).
      Hope this is helpful. 😊

    I’d like to point out that if someone is following a plant based or vegan diet, vitamins and minerals found in foods such as dairy are also in plants. For example, tofu, oranges, broccoli, kale, beans and so much more have great amounts of calcium. Everyone needs to be supplementing, not just those on plant based diets. :)

      I think you should. No harm in it. Your body lost so much between pregnancy and birth. Prenatal vitamins are similar to multivitamins for child bearing aged women. This is my 3rd pregnancy, and I plan to take supplements for as long as I breastfeed, and probably beyond that.
