    Love the dynamic between these two men. There is a genuine respect and friendship between them and what they share on the game is informed but down to earth.

    Yes Ezra has been in great form. But everyone forgetting that Dearden made one of the best tackles ever, earlier in the season. He's built to rep QLD.

      Agreed, Ezra is the better attacking player right now, but his defence just needs a bit more work. He's already shown a big improvement over last year, but just needs a bit more time to mature. He should definitely be next man up though if there's another injury.

      What about Ben hunt 5/8, Mann of the bench. Come on when the forwards get tired and hunt shifts to Hooker. Won't happen but I think it would work. Safe option is just bring in dreden, good defence, dosent make mistakes, done the job in the past.

    is it me or does Dearden play like a young cooper cronk.. legit cooper had an elite running game and elite defence early and developed his kicking and game management through hard work later.. how does that not sound like dearden

    Deardon seems like a guy who never gets injured. Mann on the other hand, dudes knees are on,life support with all that strapping. Deardon also, has much better defense than Mann. Dudes always the last man standing when someone misses a tackle or chasing down players.His defending better then Val Holmes and drink water at the moment who are much bigger then him.

      Even if dearden defense is a little bit better then mam (which I don’t even think is a foregone conclusion) mam is light years ahead in attack and X factor, dearden only advantage is that he’s played a origin game, other then that mam should be the pick every day of the week, and I think he will be, billy is a smart man

    • @alexjack5158
      @alexjack5158 Před 24 dny +1

      @@willeaves6803 agree to disagree. I’ve never seen Mann chase a defender down or stop a try being scored. His attack will be useless after making 100 tackles. Deardon is the fittest cowboy and possibly qlder. But, We’ll let Billy decide. Mann will play origin eventual one day expecially once dce and hunt retire.

    Agree about Jock Madden. He's been great for the Broncos this year, gets better every week. He needs to keep them in the top 4 for the finals, then Reynolds can come back with that crucial experience to hopefully put in a better result than last year.

    Just on Jarome in the origin side. I think he would be fine PROVIDED he can get the ball out to the backs. Over the last 2 years Jarome has struggled to spread the ball like Cody Walker did in Game 3 2023 and look what happened. Jarome probably has the best defence and set completion of every five-eight, but he needs to learn to spread the ball in an origin. No use having a To'o or Addo-Carr touch the ball twice in an entire game (excluding kick returns).

    • @gote88

      To be fair he had cook as his centre. Also that 2021 origin series he gave alot of early ball to his outside backs and they really excelled.

    If I were a player I wouldn't care much about playing Origin. It's just too much TV hype with no player protection. In the middle of the NRL season, No thanks I'll try to be available at any cost for the club that pays me all year around than a 3 game series that could possibly get me injured and get me to miss out on the finals and a GF appearance or win

      Hunt on the bench with a pure 6, 7 and 9 is too valuable for QLD. If any of them are injured, he can take their spot. He is also versatile enough to play like a lock or maybe even centre if they are really desperate.
