    I have to say what everyone else here has commented. You MUST watch Queen's full performance at Live Aid 1985. This was not the only incredible crowd participation. And, yep, considered one, if not THE, best live performance ever.

    • @mikephillips8810
      @mikephillips8810 Před 2 lety +4

      Actually could be claimed to be the best short live performance ever. But every full Queen performance with Freddie was better. When they had their full sound system, full lights, and could do full versions of the songs not truncated ones, did a 2 hour show, and when Freddie didn't have a sore throat! I saw Queen live with Freddie 4 times, every one of those and all the Queen live concerts I've seen on video were better than the Live Aid performance. What made the Live Aid performance great was what the band managed to do with just 20 minutes and a crowd that wasn't all Queen fans.

    Freddie as you right said, had a free spirit. He was unique, the band was unique. Just imagine the styles they have explored in music- you name it, they have done it all and not just explored they have done it with panache and top class quality. They defied category to the point that they were a category onto themselves They were the best band in every sense- not a cliche. Freddie was born to be an artist and the rest of the group too- Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon.... all masters in their own right. It was the merging of extraordinary talents with the added bonus of a free spirit like Freddie that made Queen such an enduring band even to this day.

    You're really cheating yourselves by only watching one song from this set - watch the whole thing start to finish! It's only half an hour or so, and has so many wonderful moments that you'll just absolutely love!

    It’s on CZcams you really need to watch the full live aid set that they did and you’ll see some audience participation. The people absolutely loved this band and they love the people back.

    That was video from Quuen's slot at the famous Live Aid concert for hunger in Africa at Wembley Stadium in 1986. The huge crowd that is seen here was there to see a large number of participating performers, but without doubt Queen were the stars of the show.

    And this is why Freddie is considered by many to be the greatest front man ever. No one controls a crowd like him. And I’ll add to the rest…react to the full Live Aid set!
