    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I read a LOT, like 50+ books/year. I love books and I still, to this day, find reading/writing to be the best way to learn/get clarity on your thoughts. They've been a big part of my life since I was a kid, so I want to include them on this channel. This video kicks off a new series/playlist on book reviews that I feel are relevant to racket sports.
Most of what I will feature will be hidden gems, books that few pay attention to but have a lot to teach. I read very broadly, so not all of them will be directly related to racket sports but will have value for any racket sports fan (stay tuned for the next book review, it's one of my favourite books I've ever read that has nothing to do with racket sports but I've applied every principle in it to improve in racket sports 😄).
I've read and watched almost anything there is on Federer, my favourite player. But then I read The Master by Christopher Clarey and loved every minute of it because there is so much detail in here that I'd personally never come across. I truly wish every tennis fan/racket sports fan/Federer fan would read it.
So in anticipation/celebration of getting to see more of Federer I'm highlighting the three things that stuck out to me the most in this book.
But this is still only scratching the surface. There's so much good stuff in this book. I highly recommend it!
I've provided a link below (Amazon US and CAN), but it's only for your convenience as it's a non-sponsored link. Seriously, just get this book!
I really hope I can grow this channel to a point where I could interview Christopher Clarey. It would make for a great video and I would love to ask all the interesting questions I have for him!
When I was young I wanted to become a writer, and I can confidently say that I would've tried to emulate his style of writing in my effort to develop my own style.
He's writing a similar book about Nadal, The Warrior, which I can't wait to read as well.
He also has a substack, which is some of the best tennis writing I've come across. Check it out here: christopherclarey.substack.com/
