These decade review videos really reminded me how short Ronda's reign of dominance was. She fought often but it was only like 2 years. Seemed longer than that at the time.
That was the most satisfying KO of the year
She was 12 and 0 and has 6 defences all against ranked fighters who are still relevant she beat cameuchae who beat valentina and faught her again not that long ago for the belt she beat cat who ko Nunes she beat alot of ranked girls and ppl hate on her but praise anderson silva who beat journey men cans has 15 losses loss with steroids and failed for 3 type of roids when he was going up against 170ers lol

That's not really unusual though. The majority of fighters only peak for about two or three years at most. Go look at recent champions for proof of that. The exceptions are the true greats.

it was a good one. 2011 was pretty awesome. so was 2003 and 2005(Pride era)
2015 was the best year for the UFC fight wise. Shocking title changes, fight of the year bouts, rise of conor mcgregor, amazing fights, prospects. Man, im gonna miss watching UFC 189 live.
This was the first year i fully started watching all the PPVs/Fight nights. So happy I did.

The efficiency of Jon dumping DC on his ass whenever he saw fit to do so always makes my jaw drop. Holly dethroning Rhonda, Conor really became king and Robbie and Rory reminded us this is not for mortal men. Holy shit this was an incredible year.
Would’ve loved to see Rory back in the UFC right now. WW division is back to being very very interesting and he’d be in the mix for some amazing fights.
I'd love to see Douglas Lima in the UFC, new blood. I think he could beat a lot of top UFC welterweights. But then Bellator would have nobody seeing as they just lost Rory.

Definitely. Most of the fighters in the division seem hard counters to each other. Rory like caliber and variety of skillsets would be good to see back in the division. I think his ship has sailed however, judging by his interviews and lacking the will to compete at the top level.

Rory WAS one of the best Welterweights for sure. But now....? Even though he beat Lima, Gracie, Fitch and Daley in the last couple years, he still hasn't looked the same. You could also argue that those guys and the talent in general in Bellator is not as good as UFC. Not to mention he is now with PFL an even easier organization. Seems like he just wants to take the least amount of damage and still get paid. I don't blame him.

Bruh Really haha the division wasn’t very old or popular then. Women fights really weren’t watched as much. The books had both her and RDA as underdog title challengers and I parlayed them and the third fight. I think it was Johnny Hendricks best bet of my career, thus far. I took a break after that and recently started doing it again.

Lawler vs McDonald was not just a fight, that was like a movie. The intensity from both guys, the pace of the fight, the blood, the stage where they fought, both guys covered in blood and having that staredown after the 4th round, goddammit even the speeches on their corners before the last round sounded so inspiring, and Robbie's post fight interview was so spontaneous and emotional that really makes you fell like watching the end of a movie

Rational Police Conor is the only one that has fought and won at 3 different weight classes is the first same time double champ in history and is the only double champ in 2 different organizations. He is so skilled that he can transcend different weight clases, a real fighter that challenges himself, has jones done that? NO Whats the point to defend the belt 10000000 times if you are gonna lose to anybody just ONE division above you. Examples are dj and Max
nicoduran98 he barely beat a career journeyman LW at WW. And fighters like ken flo and bj penn already won in 3 weight classes before him. Defending your belt for a record amount of times is more difficult than becoming a multiple division champ. And Conor was able to keep his FW belt after going 1-1 without fighting in the division. He had help from the UFC. He is known as the guy that avoids the number #1 contenders and was stripped of both his belts without defending either.
