They’re overrated! Even my 70 year old mother thinks they are boring and prefers Carnival for the atmosphere! RC are full of old people its like a retirement home on water… 😂

I've never been on a Disney cruise but i've been on 15 other ones from Carnival and Royal Caribbean and i just can't justify spending twice as much to go on a Disney cruise. I've never had a bad cruise and never had bad food and only a few times paid an upcharge for food. Some things here or there don't taste great but the food is great. Plus i'm a gambler and thats part of my cruise fun and i can't get that on a Disney ship.
Disney cruises definitely aren’t for everyone but I’m glad you enjoyed your other cruises!
I can’t go on Carnival. Too many brawls, shipboard functional issues, cleanliness issues, and people treat those ships like giant college frat parties. Classy. I’ll pass on the Walmart of the Seas. RC is nice, but they nickel and dime you to death so I don’t know what’s being saved. Disney for me. It’s more wholesome for the whole family and I can board knowing everything has been included and there’s no surprises or hidden fees.
I just want to mention your comment about Royal Caribbean/other cruises thing:
Disney cost sooooooo much more than other cruises, than even when you pay for the upgrades you are getting a cheaper experiences a way more cheaper experience. Also just like Disney you can pre-pay for a lot of things.

All of the slides are complimentary and flowrider and also rock wall, the flight simulator and North Star you get one free pass on a port day to try it out and there’s bumper cars which are usually open 3 hours of the day and are completely complimentary

I want to start by saying I enjoy your content and will continue to watch going forward. I just need to say that until you experience another cruise line you really have no room to comment about what happens on them. My family has done disney, royal, and carnival. All of these have their plus and minuses, and every cruise line can nickle and dime you if you go about the experience wrong. You should focus more on teaching viewers how to get the most for their money no matter the cruise line.
I’ve sailed carnival before and wasn’t impressed and my thoughts on Royal and msc are based on what my friends have told me based on their experiences and different videos on CZcams. I’m definitely gonna get on a Royal cruise at some point soon but koda has been on several Royal sailings and said my thoughts were accurate. Everyone has different experiences on different cruises so when I do get on Royal I’ll share my experiences

Sad, I've NEVER had a bad experience in Royal, also food in ALL restaurants 👌🏻...when it comes to the fun activities, unless they've changed since I last cruised you don't have to pay you just have to set up a time and sign a waiver or just wait in line for a long time but no extra charge.

I agree with your thoughts on a RC cruise, we choose to stay suite class so we are able to enjoy better dining….I personally have had hospital food that was better than the buffet they offer. I went on an inside passage cruise of Alaska, not Disney Cruise ship. I cannot explain to you how amazing Alaska happens to be and you are going to get to probably see whales which is even more amazing. When you’re sitting on your balcony and you can see humpback whales it’s incredible! I do pray for you that you don’t get caught up in a huge storm that our cruise ship did. I had fun because I don’t get seasick but when I say 90% of the ship was sick they were. When you see that discovery channel show about crab fishing and the storms that come through we got a storm like that. We’re course close to the shore so we’re not way out there but we got to feel it. It was so bad they actually locked all doors leading outside. The waves were so high that until you reached the seventh floor of the Cruise ship all you saw was water. My mom and I were only two people out of 60 that made it to dinner. You had to hold your water glasses because the ship was so horribly rocking side to side that if you didn’t your water would spill. I have never been on a cruise with that kind of weather. I was making Titanic jokes. In fact I got really drunk. The waves are so bad it literally made you go side to side walking on the ship. I figured if I got drunk you would walk straight. Normally if you’re drunk you go side to side so I figured if I was drunk it would keep me straight. I’m smart, lol. I had so much fun.. Luckily it was only one night of that horrible weather but I did have a blast. Thank God I don’t get seasick and I have some great stories to tell.

My husband and I just got back from sailing on the Disney Dream and we did the dolphin swim on Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau, and I know it’s an additional charge since it’s an excursion, but it was worth every penny! Even just the beach day there I think would be so nice, the island is beautiful and fun☺️

I actually just got back from a cruise on MSC Seashore, and surprisingly I had a great time. The entertainment was different than what I had experienced on NCL and RCL, but I let go of expectations and found myself enjoying it. And…best pizza on a cruise ship. It was soooo good!
Also - I’ve always had a fantastic time on NCL and RCL without paying for extra activities. The food in the MDR can be…inconsistent (especially RCL), but one of my favorite dining experiences ever was on Symphony of the Seas at Wonderland.
I’ve heard some good things about MSC but wayyyy more bad things sadly. We’re happy you had a great time!

I understand why you will not spend that much for a budget cruise. That is why if I ever go on cruise it will be similar to Disney Cruise, like Viking or Virgin Voyages. Both cruise lines are adult only and hear great things about both cruise lines.

The Allure of the Seas is a Oasis class ship
My wife and I have been on 3 RC ships : Oasis Ofr the Seas, Alure of the Seas, and we just got off of Harmony of the seas. In regards to being nickel and dimed, we paid nothing extra for the amenit6ies of the ship. The slides (including The Abyss) are all free, the zip line is free, the FlowRiders are free. The shows are free. Like Disney ships, specialty restaurants are an additional charge. However, I don't go to the specialty restaurants because the food in the main dinning room is delicious. I will admit I had a prime rib that was a bad cut because my cut had silver skin running through it and I had to cut it all out, however my wife's prime rib on that same night was fine. I'm not a big fan of the buffet on the 16th deck called the Windjammer, but my daughter and her husband ate most of their meals there. You can go on a RC cruise and not be nickel and dimed at all if you choose to not be. If you want soft drinks with dinner, they comer with dinner with no extra charge. If you want soft drinks at Johnny Rockets, the soft drinks are complimentary although Johnny Rockets is an additional charge.
We’re still going to try and get on a Royal ship at some point soon! We really want to compare the two!
@@ThemeParkExpress We went to Alaska 5 or 6 years ago. We flew to Fairbanks and spent 2 nights at 3 different lodges owned and operated by Princess Cruise lines. Then we went down to the coast on a train and boarded the Princess Star for a week long cruise down to Edmonton. The ship itself sucked. The food in the main dinning hall was good, but the buffet was terrible. We loved seeing Alaska and the three ports along the way back. I'd love to make a similar trip again someday.
How about if you want a soft drink but you’re not at dinner? I bet you have to pay. I heard about those soda packages you’re required to pay for.
@@mindyschocolate Sure, you have to pay then, but you don't have to buy a package. You can just buy a soft drink if you want one or you can buy a package. BUT you don't need to do that unless you want to exclusively drink soft drinks.
@@mindyschocolate I first tried to schedule a Disney cruise, but it cost significantly more money... at least half again as much... and for only 5 days. Our trip was for 8 days and 7 nights (they count the day you disembark which is a joke because all you do that day is wait to get off the boat, so really, 7 days and 7 nights).

The other cruise ships may be additional charges but, this is a big but, Disney cruises are so much more expensive than everywhere else. For me personally Disney is way too proud of what they have. Other cruise ships have so much that they offer now that it makes more sense as an adult to go on the other cruises. Looking at the largest cruise ship that’s currently sailing, the amenities and what they have to offer is just mind blowing. If you work with a travel agent especially one that works a lot with cruise ships you can get an amazing deal on one of these other large cruise ships that offer so many other things.
To me, the biggest disappointment on Disney cruise ships is hands-down the food. It’s just blah. Yes, they have some fantastic desserts but I want to have fantastic everything else. I want the desert to just be the cherry on top. You’re paying so much money and you get this just OK food. Now yes on Disney Cruises there is Palo which is fantastic. However, that’s an added expense.
I’m not saying that Disney cruises aren’t fun because of course they are. It’s just when I’ve gone on some of these other cruises even with the added expenses I spent less money than a Disney cruise. Also, I enjoy being able to have more activities and entertainment that revolves around more grown-up activities and entertainment. I like having my alcoholic drinks while cruising. I like going to see comedians that maybe say things that Disney would think is too risky. I enjoy being on a cruise where people aren’t wearing costumes. Not that I don’t enjoy a Disney cruise and seeing the different characters. There are just times that I would prefer to just see the characters inside the theme parks and enjoy my cruise without them. Of course this is just my personal opinion and that’s it. We are all different with our own personal opinions. If we were all the same the world would be very boring!
I go as an adult only on Disney. HAL was forgettable, Carnival is cheap in a negative way, and RC nickel and dimes you and are just too packed with people. NCL and Princess are as forgettable as HAL. If not Disney, Virgin for me.

At this time children under five do not need to be vaccinated but must submit a negative test before embarkation day and must test again on embarkation day
Okay thank you !! He turns 5 Sept. 6th and we’re boarding sept.16 so it’s a 10 day window I just wonder if it’ll be a problem if he’s not vaccinated for only 10 days.

I cruised transatlantic, (November 2021) from the uk to the USA via the Caribbean and there were two people onboard with little dogs.
I love DCL, but there is a little too much “sameness” to it for me. The restaurants serve the same food, they have the same shows, etc. Some people might find that comforting, but I think it gets a little old.
Which Wish sailing in July will you be on?

I’ve really been enjoying many of your videos lately (new subscriber here) but feel that you seem to make some entitled/elitist comments at times that can be a bit offensive… it’s nice you can afford to do certain things and have certain experiences but please don’t down the things other people can afford. Nassau is also a tourist destination with hard workers so to call it “trash” is a bit much. Some of those comments have just been rubbing me, and from the looks of a few other comments, others the wrong way.

The Northstar is free when docked
I think you've been mislead. For Royal, The Flow Rider, ziplining, Rockwall, the slides, North Star, ice skating, the shows, etc. aren't added charges with Royal. They'll charge if you want a private session on something like Flowrider or charge for Northstar after the first day. The only things that are added charges are the specialty restaurants, spa services, gambling, alcoholic drinks and coke products. The dining room food is excellent and in my opinion improved after the pandemic. I'm not sure why people would say it's garbage? I can't imagine Disney's main dining room food is any better? I've never had issues finding free stuff to do. In fact it's so hard not to do everything lol. *MSC is actually a good line. I think you're confusing it with NCL. I would love to try MSC it's a line from Europe.
Years ago before I changed my personal perspective on food I use to think plates like yours seen at 6:23 looked amazing and delicious. But today at age 45 with my new outlook on life as a Vegan of 9 years (14 total Vegetarian years) that plate of food honestly now to me looks absolutely disgusting 😂. I'm like EW.... 🤮! BUT ANYWAYS.... Great video regardless of what you choose to eat! I'm enjoying the show and supporting you regardless!

To be fair, Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean can attract different clienteles.
Yeah I've never had to pay for anything like rock climbing and stuff on a Royal Caribbean cruise or Carnival. I went on a Disney cruise and I didn't feel like I got my money's worth like I do on other cruises. Maybe it was just a bad Disney cruise but it definitely wasn't all that. I didn't like how they charge so much money for internet when other ships charge like 20 to 25 a day and its unlimited. Definitely try another cruise line so you can see how nice they are. You will see that they are similar to Disney and some are better and cheaper.
