Fan of Forest since I’ve heard Beyond Creation. Glad to see him on this First Fragment playthroughs. As a bass player, there is a lot of things you can learn about Dominic’s playing. His technique is surreal, his left hand picking, the tapping, the melodic aspects on his solos, his groove and slap, his tone, etc. A very unique bass player. Hands down to one of the best metal bass players ever!

Dominic will be forever my favorite bass player and has been since i discovered him many years ago. Love First Fragment playthroughs!
For real, he's been my favorite bass players for a few years now since I discovered him back when he was in Beyond Creation.
I took bass lessons from him for a couple of months and he's a very pleasant and cool guy, and in those 2 months my technique improved tremendously!
Hopefully one day I'll meet him at a First Fragment or Augury show and buy him a beer haha :D
His bass is just magic, my absolute favourite as well

I'd like to see Archspire and First Fragment live
I was lucky enough to see them both in same show few years ago. Archspire was definately the best band I've ever seen live. Their mix and sound was on point.

Amazing how much his playing has evolved the last 10 years or so i've known of him.
I saw him a few times dating back to I think 15 years ago. Every time I saw him come through it was with another band lol. Back then I thought he was the best bassist in the world. But this new album proved that he had another level of talent he could unlock. This new album is amazing!
Easily the best bassline in a song. I really like this album, but this song bassline are on another level. Forest is the best Bass player I ever seen, his creativity and mixed of all bass technic are unmatched!!
after idk like 16+ years of jamming to death metal, forest and the dude from Obscura are the only people I've actually heard the bass in these kinds of songs and have a new found respect for bassists after so long lmao keep on ripping
Edit: forgot to mention, also Equipoise that the shred god Phil Tougas was in as well, thought Dominic was the bassist this whole time in that band lol
I'd add Erlend Caspersen in Spawn of Possession and Andrew Kim in Inferi to anything Dominic is in and Obscura. They all have amazing bass lines that stands out and it's a joy to watch any playthroughs from them, so good, so complex and so relaxed playing.
You can really hear Jared in Archspire's last few albums, and yes actually being able to hear the bass in metal is always great :)
And yes Hugo is insane! I really love his work in Equipoise and Beyond Creation!

My brain is unable to comprehend all the things that he is doing. His work on this Gloire Eternelle is easily the greatest bass contribution to a metal album since Chaoth on the last Unexpect album.
