I totally agree regarding bang chan getting unnecessary hatred, when he's such an all-rounder, amazing leader, whom should be recognized and appreciated more on his talents and skills:') [the more hatred others give him, it just indirectly shows that they agree bang chan truly is talented and they are jealous]

He deserves all the happiness, and not just bc of his personality but he works for it a lot more harder than any of us ever could.

I think the group, as a whole, get a rediculous amount of undeserved hate. I think a lot of people are bitter towards groups with bigger companies simply because they get more opportunities because their companies have more prestige and money. Since my introduction to kpop was through Monsta X and Astro, I understand that frustration to an extent, because it hurts to put in so much effort and see the boys you've grown to love losing an award to a group with a huge established fandom. However, I can't imagine ever taking it out on the artists themselves, especially ones as young as Stray Kids, who have worked so hard to get where they are and at the same time are still young guys learning to accept themselves. Chan especially has responded to specific posts about Stray Kids on multiple platforms in English and Korean, and seeing people misdirect their frustration at him hurts, because he easily could end up reading it. He has proved he's strong enough to withstand the rudeness many times, but I hope he never takes it to heart. I've got very mixed feelings towards JYPE and the personal stress idols experience due to the inner workings of the Korean entertainment industry. But these kids with a dream, they deserve everything.

For Lee Know is specially hard to sing standing still cause he is the main dancer, he makes choreos and leads the dance rehearsals, so he's very used to move with the music. Loved your reaction! 😁❤
Also Hyunjin and Felix couldn't stand still, and Han and Seungmin were doing bits of the choreo when they weren't singing. They're all so cute!!

I.N’s voice is so underrated. And while I love Stray Kids songs, I feel like the songs don’t really utilize his voice to the full extent. Like there’s not enough opportunity in the genre they write music in for his voice to really shine. I really like the ballads he’s covered because they really demonstrate just how much emotion he can demonstrate with his voice. It’s lovely.
With all the characteristics of I.N's voice, I have always felt he would feel and sound great with Girls Generation ballads 🩵
I know it is not in this format, but if you really want to see Han's range check out their kingdom version of "I'll be your man". It is very impressive. The "making of" episode, though long, really give you an idea of how hard they work and how dedicated they are.

I totally agree, what I love about Han's voice is how passionate and powerful he sings everytime. He always grabs your attention in every song.
I really like LeeKnow's voice. he has a very sweet tone. I'm proud of him for getting so good at singing.
(Edited) he’s wearing braces and the pronunciation is SO CLEAR! Seungmin is a natural baritone and he practices practices and keep on practicing and scars, i think, is one of the songs that really highlighted his vocals, “kings of switch” as you stated in the video ◡̈
Also an interesting information. Seungmin told us that in the 2nd verse, the choreographer actually think of seungmin’s future while making the choreography and that’s why it’s centered around mic.
I’m pretty sure it’s not just me but all stays must be really proud of what he’s become.

'King of Switch' I really felt proud after hearing this. Actually, Seungmin doesn't receive so much attention that he deserves. With how he put efforts to expand his vocal range, I feel like his efforts finally showing with this reactions.

Im seriously ready to throw hands for Chan. He is my ultimate Kpop bias next to Taemin. But if he wouldn't be you just can't not respect this guy and his hard work. Without him Stray Kids wouldn't be existing. He hand-picked all the members, he trained them, the logo is his hand writing. He is the reason for everything. He loves his members so much and cares for them like a dad(dy...sorry xD), he is damn respected by them, he would probably die for them (and even JYP is lowkey afraid of him haha). He is probably the only one that can truely control them (and kick their a**es if he needs to). He always composes and/or writes and/or arranges and/or produces their songs. He is on the top of the list of all gen 4 idols when it comes to credited songs. (2nd and 3rd are Han and Changbin btw haha). This man barely sleeps and probably does so much more we are not aware of. Plus he is an incredible singer, rapper and dancer 😊
I agree, he looks so DEDICATED. But to be fair, I have seen people dedicated to THEIR success only. Like. you know that look when you know...oh this person will go through whatever, backstabbing, and so on to succeed? He doesnt have it, he has that dedication towards a cause, towards his friends, towards his art. I admire that, I feel like he would do whatever it takes for them to succeed as a group.

@@Katriinka Bangchan is probably one of the most wholesome and caring people in the whole world. He was a trainee for 7 years. He was given the chance to put the group together all by himself without the company saying anything. He's extremely caring over all of them, always watching over them, what they need, he knows their strengths and weaknesses and he knows how to juggle all of that and take the best of each one of them.
He's the kind of person who would walk through coals carrying the 7 of them at their backs while he's being whipped and stabbed by the industry and still have the most precious dimpled smile.
All the hate Bang Chan is getting has nothing to do with his talents or his capacity as a leader. He's just the easiest target of their antis (unfortunately) because he's the most active in social media.
I was looking for this comment. It's because he's in the front line. It's like Jae of Day6, it has nothing to do with their talent, it's because they expose themselves too much to social media..
I think he sets himself out their specifically to be the target to protect his kids. He completely gives off "come at me however you want, but don't even look at my boys" vibes.
I partially agree with this but my hesitation, which I see much too often, is fans conflating criticism and accountability with hate. So while yes antis do come for them unnecessarily for the pettiest things, it’s important to distinguish people attempting to hold him/them accountable.
Yess, thank you for pointing it out! I love Bang Chan's room that he does nearly every Sunday for the fans, I try to be there when it's live whenever I can. Yet haters take advantage of this to hate. I also believe Bang Chan put himself out there to protect the group. However I really hates seeing Bang Chan struggle, especially all the struggles he already been put through in those 7+ years alone. Hwaiting Chan!

I really loved how Yang Jeongin stood out the most, I have always liked his vocal, it's nice how he has learned to trust his voice and himself more. I fell more in love with him ❤️.

Bangchan and the one who's expert at switching to head voice which is Seungmin (pronounced as Sungmin) actually often sing the same parts. Seungmin is a baritone and practiced so much to do those techniques.

I re-fall in love with Han every time he performs, sings or raps. His stage/performing presence is so captivating and gripping and his tone is really just so unique and amazing

I don't know if you know already, but they're singing in Japanese, so it's not their language.. and I'm a singer too and I know how it can be difficult to sing this good in a different language that you don't know...
Btw the "almost" growling that Changbin does, it's his very characteristic in his rapping, maybe you've listen to it less because in the songs more focused on the vocals he doesn't use this singing technique
And Jisung (stage name Han) (the one you like the tone a lot, when you said he is "in the zone") you might not know it, but he's one of the main rappers, together with Changbin :) Han is the ace of the group ❤️
Yay!! I’m SO HAPPY you talked about Jeongin (I.N) and how amazing those notes were. He has really high standards for himself and I feel like he’s improving so much and I can’t wait for his vocals to be even more recognised and praised!!

He's an amazing singer as well as a very versatile rapper. He's a great performer too. He's also a part of Stray Kids composing/producing team 3racha along with Chan and Changbin.
Fun fact: Him,Felix,Seungmin(the King of switches) and Hyunjin(Motley Crew dancer) are the same age.
9:25 I found it so interesting that you mentioned this, specially how it is healthier for your vocal cords cause he has actually mentioned this before. He has explained what technique he uses when growling to nod damage his vocal cords, and he also helped Hyunjin with his rapping technique a lot
Han is my fav vocalist in stray kids, his voice has the EMOTION!!! Great voice, great tone and very very stable

i totally recommend skz players. it is a section on stray kids’ channel where the kids upload their solo proyects. it goes from self-choreographed dance covers, to rap diss tracks, self-written tracks, and covers from other kpop artists’ songs :)

I really agree with you on Han's voice, he's my bias and the fact that he's a main rapper who"s also lead vocalist, and also ina producing team(3 racha)
But Seungmin's voice is one favorites as a vocalist. Believe it or not he is the most underrated and overlooked member of the group(don't even start)!! Stray Kids' music genre is mostly hip hop, rap and edm which doesn't give vocalists much to shine. But lately they were showing his vocals more and it's a safe place for me!!

I think you’ll really like ‘Neverending story” and also the Kingdom:Legendary war “Love Poem” performance, it has Straykids Seungmin, Ateez Jongho, and BTOB Eunkwang singing! Their vocals are no joke, Seungmins killing part was phenomenal

jisung is my favorite vocalist in stray kids. i definitely recommend checking out some of his solo stuff, like close and alien. he also has a performance on king of masked singer that i reaaaally recommend too :)
The youngest members are Vocalracha so they are more vocal unit (even every member singing really well). That's why they mostly have really difficult vocal parts.
Also:
3racha - produssers (Chan, Cnangbin, Jisung)
Danceracha - dancers (Minho, Hyunjin, Felix)
They don't have exact positions right now but units exist.

Thank you for this reaction! Stray Kids' singing ability get ignored too often because of their better known raps, so these first take performances are a real treat to highlight each of their vocals.

I kept looking for this reaction as soon as the first take was released. I really appreciate your analysis. It's very honest and so accurate. And you are on point about Han Jisung. He is in the zone when he performs. He is our all rounder. Our ace!

Fun fact: In 2020 Changbin released a solo song called Cypher with the project Skz-player/Skz-records with which the members release original songs, covers or dance covers/performances. It's called Skz-record if there isn't an actual filmed video.
This song cypher has 4 different beats, the third is from a song by Skz called Maze of Memories, the first is part of the instrumental in Scars which left us surprised. Changbin's and Hyunjin's rap flow are also the same from that song and the lyrics were translated to Japanese.
So maybe that's why Bang Chan asked him about the song at the beginning.

Also they are probably saying about them "wanted to dance" because for Scars they have a choreography and they are promoting it mainly like that except for The First Take.
