    Thanks for the video. The 3 gang steel electrical box appears to have a number of Romex NM cables routed through a single connector. This is almost certainly an electrical code violation. If the cables are being routed through a 3/4 inch cable connector, the limit is 3 Romex cables. The product info for the Arlington connector, Part Number 842ST
    is as follows: NM cable connector zinc die-cast. 2 screw clamp type. Handles combinations of NM cable from #14 to #10. Up to 3 NM cables at one time. 3/4 Knockout. Also handles one 8/2, two 4/2 service cable Snap tight.

      There should never be more than two cables in one connector.

    that heater should be on a timer switch so you don't leave it on by accident

    Frank, I am getting 2 in my house. Did you have to cut a hole in your roof? 2 . What about maintenance of the vent? Do you have to clean it? Will you have to go to the roof to do that? I thought this came with a timer for the heat?

    • @Upgradetech
      @Upgradetech  Před 4 měsíci

      No I was able to use the same pipe air vent of the water pipe in the bathroom to limit the cutting roof hole but I don't know you floor plans to do the same as I did.

    Did you had to run a 20 Amp for the heater or can you use the 15 Amp for fan and heater

    My contractor put one in in my new bathroom however the heat blower I feel is too close to the shower doors you have to stand right up against the shower doors to fill that blower on you is there a way you can adjust the heat blower to go out a little bit?

    • @Upgradetech

      I would question your contractor about this issue. This can get a little hot and might damage your glass or even be shattered.

    Thank you, appreciate the video. Love that bathroom. Can u please tell me if you performed all bathroom work or which if any was contracted. Is the fan/heater on a dedicated circuit? 110? We live in Butt-Freezing-Land, is the heater warm enough to thaw a frozen butt? Thanks again. New subscriber!

      I dedicate line for this and air vent for heat and cool, the heater work very well and the the cool also no issues or any problem. I had to contact a electrician for the connection.

    can the heater and vent be turned on at the same time? With the vent setting on, on side appears to suck in air and the other side appears to blow out air, is that normal?

      @@Upgradetech I wonder the same. My wife wants something like this when she steps out of the shower but I need to run the fan while she is showering. Seems to me if both (if allowed) are running at the same time, it would just exhaust all that nice warm air.

    Flex hose from the discharge of the fan is WhY TOO LONG and with that big dip? N/G - should have gone straight up through the roof rather that try and reuse what appears to be an old opening in the roof. Length is not your friend.

      It's been working great so far no issues I have access to the pipe anytime with a new set of stairs to the attic and have been monitoring the pipe because it was also my concern but knock on wood no issues so far.

      Actually in the North East it should be long to allow for Condensation to dry inside the tube. People who tend to run it straight down from vent to fan tend to deal with water and bugs. Always leave some slacking

  • @sl-og8dz

    When using the heating feature, do you need to turn on the fan also? Or does the fan turns on automatically?

    • @kookiethebear
      @kookiethebear Před 6 měsíci

      The heater assy operates as a unit with the one switch and the exhaust vent works with the other switch - two circuits, one unit. Don't attempt to use heat and vent together, else you suck out the heat being generated.

    • @photobizniz
      @photobizniz Před 3 lety +3

      The heater is a 1600-watt PTC unit that requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit. It's self-limiting, so as it approaches the designed operating temperature, the electrical consumption automatically decreases, which prevents it from overheating. But no temperature gauge or switch, other than on/off.

    • @joebal9044
      @joebal9044 Před 3 lety +1

      @@photobizniz I read the install manual and just for clarification, you need just a single 20 amp circuit which should provide enough amps for both the fan and heater (and light if you get that mode)?. Obviously, from the gang box you need to run 2 separate cables to the unit.
