I try to avoid it when I assemble my models, but I love it when a mini has a pistol in the hand AND one in the holster. I had one mini at one point which had a pistol holstered at the hip, a sword in the scabbard across it, and then a sword in one hand and a pistol in the other. He had backups, just in case.
After the release of the new WE Codex, I realized GW really isn't pushing the potential of Khorne (like, the Eightbound are literally just Possessed Marines but more). Back in the days of Epic, Khorne had some of the craziest war machines around. I know the official lore is that they just kinda buy them from the Dark Mechanicum or Forge of Souls or whatever, but I honestly would like them to explore different aspects of bloodlust. Like, why not some kind of Khornate bazooka or grenade launcher units who roar manically as they blast the enemy with high explosives? One thing I'd like to see are Khornate weapon manufacturers, engineers, etc. Imagine someone like Hannibal Lecter, with barely constrained insanity, frothing at the prospect of making the biggest, worst, most horrendous invention to please their god and sate their personal desire for destruction. These dudes hand off the weapons to the actual warriors, in return for a share of the sacrifice, as it were.

I love tom and ben fixing GW's dumb lore by using even dumber lore that somehow makes more sense
