This would work perfectly in a country like nz which is surrounded by ocean. Alot of people swim but we have quite afew drownings even among the experienced swimmer due to rip tides and fatigue. These could make all the difference between life and death

It is too bulky. Especially the useless hard plastic part. Needs a redesign.

Great idea! It would be doubly great if the gas in the cylinder is not CO2!!

It may give you enough time to be seened or the opportunity to get into a floating position with a little support. Anything that may save someone from drowing.❤

@@ugottabkittenme Hug it with your other arm and rest your chin on it.
While it's obviously no replacement for a proper vest, i could see it coming in very handy in a ''oh shit which way is up'' scenario after being hit by a wave or current at the beach.
Falling into a river during a hike also comes to mind, i'd bet it's much easier to keep your head above the water with a balloon to hug.

You people are so dumb... it's a flotation device that is very portable and easy to reach because it's one the wrist. So you're thinking people are going to just hang beneath it under water? Well then you might say, "what if you get knocked out and need to float above the water, unconscious?" Well how do you activate it if your ass is knocked out? Use your brains people! If you have any..
