    That 0-60 run at 40 seconds must have been in the Prius range. Actually, I love mine. Bought it new in 2007 and it still rides like a beast with nothing but oil and tire changes. Better than anything Harley can dole out for 3-4 times as much!

    splitting lanes is the fastest way to the grave, the epitome of the reason why the stickers say "Motorcycles are everywhere" because of riders like this. Dude, just ride safe. No one will clown you for it, i promise!

    • @Badkitty24
      @Badkitty24 Před 3 lety

      I ride a 06' M109...and i see all kinds of riders on all kinds of bikes "splitting lanes" at high speeds. On the street and freeway. I split lanes when traffic on street and freeway only when traffic is slow. I don't want to cook in the heat and breathe all that exhaust. I drive SLOW also because i HATE IT when i'm in my car and the loudest bikes in the world buzz through traffic as fast and loud as they can. I watch riders doing 60mph+ weave in TIGHT TRAFFIC and they're IDIOTS ! Really does give riders a bad name.

    • @greatkingrat
      @greatkingrat Před 2 lety +1

      Cops in NZ encourage lane splitting but not at high speeds. At less than 60 kph or less on the motorway it’s dangerous to be in traffic as it can result in a serious rear end. In saying that, when I lane split I am generally only 20 kph faster than the traffic so when people change lanes in front of me I am ready for it.

    • @twismfamily
      @twismfamily Před 2 lety

      @Great King Rat NZ less than 60 isn't that bad. We've all been in a car and about to switch lanes and at a blink of an eye, some asshat on a bike comes whizzing by last minute. It's an ass pucker thinking you as the driver did something wrong when it was the biker not switching lanes at a safe proper distance or greatly exceeding the speed limit to where he/she is a blur to oncoming traffic.

      John Smith. Both are partially correct. In 2006 when the m109r came out it was the biggest "V-Twin" on the market with the biggest mass produced pistons on the market. Not so much any more. Don't get me wrong the rocket 3 is no slouch. But it does have 3 pistons. And out of the muscle cruiser class the rocket 3 was the only one to give the m109r a run for the money.

      @kirkbernard7693 Před 6 lety +1

      whalesong999 Actually these bikes have a two pin crank making the “firing order” even instead of the Harley’s uneven potato potato sound. Look it up.

    • @whalesong999
      @whalesong999 Před 6 lety

      Two pin crank or not, the sound is not what I sense as "even". There is a signature "lope" to all v twins and I prefer the sound of H-D. I can't say it's particularly pleasant when they like to advertise the noise on the streets as some gesture of expressing their 'power' or such. Some of the attitudes shown in these videos are certainly counter-productive to the interests of cyclists in general. Been dealing with this since my first involvement in motorcycling in the late '50s.
