Great job. Glad you’re enjoying the Blunami. I sure am. I just lashed up almost all my Blunami (6 locos) using the app and video will be coming. So much fun!! Everyone should be trying this!!
Thanks for sharing this Jason. I love how it automatically calibrates the DDE feature, which is a process but not complicated. At some point I convert some if not all of my locomotives.
Very cool Jason. I like my nce controllers. Not crazy about using a phone. However I do feel this is the obvious future of dcc. Also as you switch over keep me in mind if you’re selling your old tsunami 2’s
Thanks Rick! Yes it can still be controlled with NCE or any other DCC system and even consisted with DCC locomotives. If consisting w/ other DCC locomotives that doesn't have Blunami will require using the DCC system's throttle. It will even work with DC so this is a perfect type of decoder for someone who likes to take their stuff to club or other friend's layouts.
I still dont get it. I understand all the tech. But in this case the loco needs track power to operate, so the DCC system is already on. Maybe for a deadrail layout bluetooth would be a good fit. Help me understand what else I'm missing. Great demo on the install and app tho.
Hey Alan! For me with wanting to have multiple operators on my layout simultaneously, I still need to purchase 5 more NCE throttles at around $200 a piece. Now with upgrading to Blunami, the cost is only an extra $30 per decoder and I can sell my used Tsunami 2 to recoup some of the money back and 9 times out of 10, someone will come over and have a throttle in their pocket. I will still keep 2 throttles on hand just for those who doesn't have a smart phone. For me, it's a cost savings over all. Nice thing is, these will also work on a DC layout and I can do everything that DCC can do on DC power and eventually when batteries gets small enough, I could add the battery and run on dead rail and that is already being don on S scale and bigger. To me, this is the future of model railroading!
Hi Jason 👋 good choice on a Blunami install...enjoyed 👍 DD
Thanks 👍
Very cool Jason. I like the idea of bluetooth decoders just not thrilled with controlling the train on a phone (yeah, I know, I'm an old guy).
Thanks John! You can still control it with your DCC system or DC as well.
Wow... bluetooth tech with trains continues to grow. Nice one, Jason! Very cool... I like the double speakers, too!
Thanks Anthony!
Thats some cool tech, nice install, running trains by phone, never would of thought. Definitely not kids toys anymore
Thanks Pappy! It hasn't made it to N scale yet but I assume it's in the works.

Thanks George! Two locomotives down, over 30 to go....lol. I hope Soundtraxx considers making a Blunami version of the Soundcar as well!
Awesome video Jason, I learned so much, what a great decoder, Thanks! (Dave).
Thanks Dave!

Thanks Ron! That was a huge selling point for me but not the only one.
Cool tech, Jason. Have fun and thanks for sharing. 😎👍🏼

Cool
Thanks Joe!
Looks like the hardest part was getting the Shell off.
It practically was and I freaked out when that part came off too
