  • In this Guanajuato Mexico Vlog I will be giving you a tour of Guanajuato, Mexico to show you why this is the most BEAUTIFUL city in Mexico. Throughout this Guanajuato Mexico Vlog I will show you tons of colorful buildings, narrow streets, cozy cafes, and beautiful architecture. I traveled to Guanajuato Mexico in 2021 and I fell in love with this incredible city.
    To start off the day, we visit Plaza de la Paz, which is the main plaza in Guanajuato, and translates to Plaza of Peace. The Plaza de la Paz is a beautiful plaza with a large yellow and red church, tons of colorful buildings, and quaint cafes. After roaming around the main city plaza in Guanajuato, we passed by a beautiful park and the famous Callejon del Beso, which translates to Kiss Alley. An alley that use to allow a young couple to spend time together in secret, has now become a tourist attraction where tons of people gather to take their obligatory photo.
    Next, we walked through the main market in Guanajuato, called Mercado Hidalgo (Market Hidalgo). I really enjoyed walking through this market, and it truly has everything you could need. After a quick stop at a local bakery and a few parks and plazas, we walked to the University in Guanajuato (Universidad de Guanajuato), which is a large University with ~30,000 students.
    Next, we walked to the famous Teatro Juarez (Juarez Theatre), which is a beautiful theatre right next to the main plaza. After a quick snack, I take you to a famous local event that only takes place in Guanajuato, called a Callejoneada. Callejoneadas are cultural night tours, where local guides take you through the narrow alleyways, playing music, telling jokes, and teaching you a bit about the city’s history.
    The next morning, I explore the underground tunnels of Guanajuato before venturing up high for incredible views of the colorful city at Monumento Al Pipila.
    I hope you guys enjoyed the video and can now understand why I think Guanajuato is the most beautiful city in all of Mexico.

    Come to Morelia in Michoacán, it is also a colonial city but built in a very distinctive way in the 1500's with most building dating to the 1700's, all buildings are baroque and made of bare pink stone in a grid pattern, it truly is one of the most spanish/southern european looking cities in Latin America, there is also another city nearby called Patzcuaro that is also colonial but all building follow a collor and design pattert very characteristic of the state of Michoacán.
    Also both cities were founded just afther the spaniars arrived so they are some of the oldest in the country, so there is plenty to see and a lot of history, there are also a lot of archeological sites nearby too as well as pueblos mágicos.

    • @MattKramerTravels

    • @daniellozada3408
      @daniellozada3408 Před 3 lety

      Did you say they were built in the 1700s? How is that make them one of the oldest? If the colonizers came to Mexico in 1520. That’s 200 later wtf 😂😂

    • @Ivan-Manzo
      @Ivan-Manzo Před 3 lety +1

      @@daniellozada3408 the city dates back to the early 1500, but obviously cities change and get built over, if nothing had changed since its founding it would be just a couple of old not to impresive buildings, whereas with its progressive change it is now one of the biggest colonial cities and one of the best preserved in the continent and a world heritage site, don't be an ignorant biggoted fool, Rome wasn't built in a day, neither was Morelia nor any other City.
      Most of the building of Morelia today were finished in the 1700, even tho a lot of them started in the 1600, and its not like there arent any buildings from the 1500 either, the plaza were the city was founded has a church and convent from the 1500.
      There are also prehispanic ruins in a part of the city that dates back to the 1300/1400.
      Fuck you.

    Which city would you pick for us ? Thx !
