- This 40MPH Electric Bike is MAD! Coswheel CT20s Review
I've had so much fun on the Coswheel CT20s Ebike. It's fast, comfortable and has a crazy range of up to 100 miles!
This is a short term review so the Coswheel CT20S will be back for a long term review in the future.
The Coswheel CT20s is Coswheel's most powerful Electric bike. Check it out here: www.coswheelebike-eu.com/prod...

Great video! A real pleasure to watch without disruptive adverts. A lot of respect to you for making that decision!
Personally I think it's safer to have higher speeds to keep up with road traffic. It gets twitchy as drivers are getting impatient to get around you because you are stuck at 16mph. There's a lot of rubbish drivers that can't judge distance to drive around a cyclist safely.
I ride derestricted in commuting times so keeping up with traffic I am doing about 20mph. I feel much more safer by going over speed sensibly. Sadly the law doesn't see it that way.
It would be a different matter if I was riding above 16mph without helmet and recklessly.
Thanks glad you enjoy the viewing experience 😁 I'd usually say that drivers can get past a 16mph rider pretty quickly but maybe it's more about minimising the amount of drivers going past you by going a bit faster.
Thank you for full review. This is an amazing ebike.
👍👍
much safer keeping up with traffic, although there are a few berks who dont like to be behind a bike
Agreed , but at higher speeds and with the massive potholes on our roads it becomes dangerous for us .Drivers hate it when we slow down to dodge a massive pothole
I love Coswheel bikes but one of the reasons I haven't bought one is because of the lack of reviews...
In the end i've bought a Super73 S2 and I'm pretty happy with it but if I had to choose today... I might make a different choice :
Super73 advantages :
- possess an official EN15194 certificate so is 100% allowed on road in France (250w / 15.5mph / no throttle)
- use torque sensor that makes it way more smooth to ride while pedaling compared to a lot of similar bike
- still can go on offroad mode on private road (1200w (2000w peak power) / 28mph / full throttle)
- big community for custom parts (like plug&play headlights, turn signals etc... Not that it is a real advantage here as the CT20S is already equipped with thoses !)
Coswheel advantages :
- more power and way more torque ! (S73 does not communicate on it, but torque is estimated around 60ish nm... Only half as much as the Coswheel 🤯)
- less expensive (S73 S2 is 3999€ + 400€ for loomenade headlight and turn signals / Coswheel is 2217€ or 2657€ depending if the VAT is already included or due later... Still an impressive 1800€ less on the worst case scenario)
- bigger battery and higher voltage (S73 : 48v20Ah = 960wh / Coswheel : 60v27.5Ah = 1620wh )
- fully suspended
The only redlight (but it is a very important one) is the legal aspect of using it...
That battery alone makes me want to get one 😂
Putting it in makes you feel important 😅😂

Time to Legalise the scootage innit ⚡⚡
Love the videos man..
Hopefully bump into you one day as local as American 😂😂
Always watch the videos trying to see my van 😂
Looking at getting a PVY Z20plus
Haha thanks. Hope to see you on the road 😀
Thanks looks good
Great video and I agree that Coswheel makes some great products and very little coverage…. Could you list the seat height? I like their T20S because of the lower seat height but of course this has the better battery and motor specs…. I feel this might run a bit too tall for a 30 inch inseam unlike the T20S!
Nice review.
I actually put the controller from the ct20s inside my t20r. the 48v version
what appplication do you use to measure your speed?
Nice did it make it much faster? It's called 'Speedometer' free on play store.
did they fix the chain coming off all the time?
*Such a good lookin ebike* 🤩
⚡️🤟🏽🤟🏽⚡️
For anyone gettin upset by the types of ebikes on the channel, relax, this is a review, you can use your own brain to decide about legalities instead of havin a go at youtubers lol.
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Great review 👌🏽
Haha thanks dude.
I had the gt20 before it was stolen, i can say the quality of these bikes are amazing and they are so torquey. Mine was only a 48v 1500w, but still moved like the wind and even the steepest hill on throttle only was a piece of cake. Will never be able to afford another bike this good, but i do recommend everything coswheel has
Glad you had a good experience with them. Sorry it was stolen though
Also got gt20 stolen...mine is 1000w.
@@NamelessPassenger I wonder if it's the way it looks
@@NamelessPassenger I'm so sorry man, i know how devastating it must've been for you, truly a really nice bike will forever be in our thoughts
@@e-VRC possibly i had all sorts of people commenting on mine when i owned it for the 4days, even police and i was shitting myself as its above UK legal limits but they just said sick bike and let me go on with my day
80-120 km is just a drop in the bucket over here in America but I suppose you can make several round trips from Wales to Northern Ireland and back on that tiny island called the UK
Whats the fastest you've went past the 5 0s
When are you reviewing the king and starter of the ebike moped? My bike super73
When the channel is big enough that I can buy one 😂
The GT20 seems like be an amazing bike an specs are great same with looks, ive been considering getting one but worried the olBill will think its motorbike not ebike
Great video as always, you always come across as a very relatable dude which is great.
I had a powerful ebike and I sold it and bought a legal version for this very reason, I'm not someone who's intimidated by the police at all but I use my ebike to commute and getting stopped would just be a load of hassle, I just want to get to work not make detours down side streets.
If they eventually sort the laws out then it may be a different picture, but I feel that will come with the price tag of tax and Insurance, but the latter I think should be mandatory for any cyclist that uses the roads.
Thanks very much 😊 yeah I totally agree. I'd love to get this registered tbh. It's a great bike but definitely makes me paranoid.
@@e-VRC I was the same mate, a fine or even potentially losing the bike wasn't something I wanted to deal with, going to work is bad enough without having to look over your shoulder, it sucks though.
I'd be very interested to see how you get on with trying to register yours to be legal, I would consider going back to something with a bit more poke depending on what's involved, maybe even the bike in this vid 😊
@@Twistededgemedia I read it's good brakes lights, brake lights, turn signals and good tyres. It definitely has them but I suppose the tyres might not be regulation for reasons not yet known 😂
@@e-VRC 😅 indeed, I think we're at the stage now where they are just making stuff up. It's all a joke really, they want us out of our cars but a lot of e-bikes are illegal, e- scooters are illegal, electric skateboards are illegal. All based on some shite about carriages from 1835 🙈
All that's happening at the minute in cities is less than desirable individuals are flying about on e-scooters etc with little concern for public safety, the public see this and think these scooters are dangerous I'm glad they're not legal. I wish people would understand that if every day law abiding folk were allowed to use them it would be a different picture.
That's just one example, but it's damaging our passion the government need to get their finger out and stop with this consultation nonsense that goes on for years.
I would absolutely lose the car tomorrow if I could get around on e-bikes and e-scooters etc, it's a much more fun way to travel and pollution free.
Great video. I can make so many jokes about putting that battery in.
😂😂
@@e-VRC used your review for one of my newer youtube shorts. I gave you credit. You'll get a laugh.
@@maximumchargeEV haha brilliant. Subbed 👍
It’s good to see that there looking at changing the watts to 500w and letting throttles. There is already now doing throttles but still limits to 15.5 and 250w. But it’s start. Personally 500w is still a tad naff but better. But like so many companies import and sell 750w e-bikes and way more watts. In my books 750w makes a sence. But at least there looking into it.
750w-1500w make sense for ebike cause it provide just enough juice for steep hill and fast road trip. Anything above is just make more concern than practical.
How steep is the hill in %?
The battery is impressive and no doubt a heavyweight; however it's mounted high up which isn't good. Having concentrated weigh high up generally make a bike unstable. If rider is wearing a heavy backpack too you must be on your guard as your fighting increased gravitational forces especially while leaning into turns or moving at a slow pace.
Nice bike mate I've gone and got the ekx 21 ebike look at that looks even more like a motorbike😁👍
Oh wow yeah it does. Any good?
@@e-VRC love it only 48v 35smp hour battery seems to have the same headlight and brakes but like yours not many reviews I love the range
@@revparsons3tl nice. It looks great.
@@e-VRC thanks
Great review, this type of Ebike is why we need governance, 15mph is too slow and 40mph is nuts for a cyclist.
Class 2 Ebike I believe are around 20mph which is a happy medium for the UK
Keep up the great videos, very professional
Thanks. And totally agree. No one needs an ebike to go 40. 20 is great for a bike.
30mph is better , 20 mph is snail pace and drivers just get frustrated with you
30 is plenty for me
@@celticbhoy14exactly a cyclist can hit 30
Bro must have so many air miles saved up with all these trips to America 😉
😅😉
That appears to be an impressive e bike / pedelec. Given the UK laws, I would be too paranoid to ride that out on the road unless I had registered it as a pedelec.
I'm seriously considering looking into getting it registered as it's so good but I took get extremely paranoid as you could probably tell.
@@e-VRC I think the paranoia worked in your favour as you managed to spot the police very early. I think it would make a great commuter pedelec.
@@Faluzeer haha I think you're right. On both counts.
@@e-VRC If the company you got it from have been issued a licence to sell them here in the UK then they must be legal and classed as an Ebike , so why are you worrying unless you were going faster than the speed limit on that stretch of road
@@celticbhoy14legal vs road legal are two different cookies. They're OK off-road only. Just like e-scooters.
That is a lot of bike for under £2k, 60v 27.5AH battery would be the one to go for.
Agreed. It's amazing but especially for the money.
How to unlock limite top speed pls?
Hold throttle and brake while powering on display. Hold for 25 seconds after power is on. Then release. There is high med and low
Hi am johnny , am after some advice please am thinking of giving up my car due to issues with my medications (cancard)! I've always been a driver .but unfortunately has come to this now I know rhe law on ebike and wattage ! , am after something what isn't going to break my wallet lol cobwebs lol something what's good on distance ,and Ford ability ,all so iam 6ft-5 16st , mybe more of a bike that could carry side bags ,good up hills, at a decent pace .lol road and off maybe mainly road . And lighting ing any help would be a appreciated thankyou I live in suffolk uk
I love the bike in this video but if you need something closer to 1k but is still pretty quick then the Pvy Z20 Plus 1000 I reviewed at the end of last year is great.
Here is the full unboxing and first ride of the bike:
czcams.com/video/4ReBckpGqZ4/video.htmlsi=27B_p_B37dm-DAMY
Bum nipping when you seen the law 😂
😅😅
The seat on that thing looks like it would shrink your piles and crack your Walnuts .Yeah the UK government will probably allow a more powerful motor and higher speeds ,but they will impose some kind of a road tax or other rule on us to get money from us , they never do anything to help people ,it`s always stealth and sneaking things in the back door with them .Why would i pay a couple of hundred quid to travel at 25mph when my normal mountain bike can do that in it`s highest gears
Agreed I'd pay to be able to ride this and hopefully they still have a 500w 15.5mph class that's free.
Haha the seat is pretty comfy so far but I haven't done any really long distances.
great looking bike but i see that more as an electric moped than a electric cycle
price please
£1721(48v) or £1922(60v)
thank u
@@e-VRC
Hide in here for a bit 😂
Looks like it should be registered and insured, its more moped than a peddle cycle.
Faster is safer
I like it but the way it looks is too much like a flag to old Bill to pull you over and check it out.
I don't want to piss on anyone's chips and I like this channel, but that's ludicrous. It's not an ebike, it's an electrically powered motorbike with a set of peddles bolted on. Hiding from the cops says it all. Can you imagine someone coming along a pavement or a cycle path on one of these things with kids, pets, elderly people about. Yeah it looks cool and I've no issue with people riding one in the right place (the road) but if you want to do 40 mph, get it registered properly and wear the right stuff. If you come off that at speed with a normal cycle helmet on, you're asking for severe injury (or causing it). I realise many will disagree and I'm likely in a minority here. Not looking for a fight.
I think the antiquated laws need looking at & addressing. Something like this should have a number plate, insurance etc.
@@cloggsy1971 yep, I agree.
Pretty much agree with everything you've said. I want to look into getting this registered if possible. The hiding thing TBF is me being paranoid because of the way it looks. But also left it in because it's kinda funny.
Gotta get a huge number plate and pay tax yes that's what makes cars safe so yeah
@@e-VRC ha ha yeah bet that was a squeaky bum moment when the police went by you?! Wasn't having a pop, simply thought I'd add to the discussion. Love the channel, keep up the good work!
What's the best bike is it the Lankeleisi X3000max or the coswheel ct20s I'm stuck between these 2
Very good question. The Coswheel seems to be faster but the Lankeleisi is more stealth.
