owned a 2013 3.5 ecoboost (loved the truck overall) and due to this issue I will never again buy a truck or vehicle with a turbo, unless its for performance etc. Every thing you pointed out is exactly what happened to my truck, leaking coolant lines, bolts breaking in the back etc. I also had another issue I was able to fix myself, which was a blend air door actuator deep in the dash that broke. BTW, when I had this done about 6 months ago (in Cali) it cost me 4,000. I sold the truck right after, even though I "made money" on the sale, its still cost me 4k of my own money first. This should have been a legit recall, and fixed at the dealer/manufacturers expense.

Extra, extra read all about it! ….I have a 2005 Ford e150 with 4.6 liter that has that exact same problem. (2 furthest back exhaust studs on passenger side broken causing a leak). Enter KAP (Kral Auto Parts LLC)…..they manufacture brackets that bolt onto empty, threaded holes on the head and then clamp down on the manifold to re-create a seal. I ordered one and it worked! Only took 45 minutes to install and only cost $73.00 including tax and shipping. Did not have to lift the motor or remove any parts. Genius invention!!

My 13 f150 is making a strange intermittent noise from the driver side but it's not whistling. it's a deck of cards shuffling kind of sound that comes and goes with acceleration. I left you another comment on another video letting you know I've replace the rid bearings in my motor. now I'm thinking of pulling the turbos when it warms up a little. I purchased bd manifolds, low mileage turbos, stainless lines with fittings and im thinking of upgrading the turbo cartridges or getting new balanced assemblies from c&r while I'm doing this. I won't be pulling the cab because I found a fairly simple way to replace the rear fittings without doing it. After eliminating most of the oil leaks I think my passenger valve cover is leaking after installing a new vacuum pump yesterday .

For the RH one it’s BL3Z-9431-D. Older part was BL3Z-9431-B
So revised from suffix B to D

Mayson, I have p0420 and p0430. Replaced with magnaflow weld in converters and the codes are back/still there. On this ecoboost (mine is 2015) what do you usually see cause that code? My friend worked for a ford dealership going to hook to scanner to make sure 02’s are doing what they should but he said he’s never seen those codes be a 02 sensor. He said it may not like those cats.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ford should get approval from him and FTML before designing a vehicle refresh.

I’m being told that I’ve had this air pump $700 and now the cable covers $1100 there saying that the rear main seal could be leaking what’s the likely hold of this at 150000 miles and the truck runs great could you show a rear main replacement this is on a 2015 f150 3.5

Appreciate your informative videos. Just curious, if you were going to buy an F-150, what engine or model would you choose? Are there any particular years that you would not recommend? Thanks

Your notes still say that parts list is coming. I need the Ford part number for that new exhaust manifold because I had mine replaced at the dealer last year and the studs are broken again. At the time the dealer rep said there was no upgrade part.

Question… where are you located in the state of Alabama? I’m in Alabama. Just drove from Huntsville to Illinois last month to visit FordTechMakuloco. He does great work. BUT, if your local/ in this state I could come to you for my next need!!! That was a long way to drive, but worth it. I can save the mileage next time. Thanks in advance.
