- A quick demo at low, medium and high tunings of this Tama Starclassic snare drum. This snare cuts like a hot knife through butter, fantastic for any rock / metal styles where getting some punch is a must!

Amazing, i have the Starclassic Brass snare and sounds awesome too 👍
Is that the Black Gold Sparkle Fade finish?
Thanks but would be much more useful with a bit of damping. The ring is intrusive and makes it hard to hear the other tones.
if you muffled the drum head, you would not hear the complex array of overtones and resonance.
nylon tips. everything a rimshot. ok if that's how you play..
The SLP version sounded better and was cheaper .
No longer available 😡
The SLP didn’t have diecast hoops so it can be price lower. Not that Tama uses that logic with all their snares especially in the SLP lineup. And how could it sound “better” when it’s the same shell? It comes down to the room and the heads used along with of course the tuning.

The SLP still sounded better...
@@roybeckerman9253 I see them on ebay and Guitar Center frequently and usually for less than $300.
@@roybeckerman9253 To you it does. We all have different preferences.

That’s why we all buy different drums.
