I also recommend expanding into Middle-Earth the CCG & Star Trek CCG, both of which have niche fan groups online.

I feel you about the commute, sir. Used to have to drive an hour to Wichita, KS to get to the big comic/card store. #GreatPlainsProblems
Now in KC it’s a 5 minute drive Lol

It might be useful providing the service to print out virtual cards and other PDF's designed for people to DIY printouts at home, except provide a higher quality of service with cards produced nearly if not entirely as well as the professionals. I for one would pay for that, though I think adding some small or unobtrusive watermark or symbol would be needed to ensure it's not a forgery.

I have a buddy who opened a MTG/Pokemon card shop right before Covid. I remember thinking when he opened that it was a super risky venture. He survived through Covid because the government delayed foreclosures until after the pandemic concluded. His shop is gone now. I can only imagine trying to open a shop selling old often dead CCGs vs a shop selling current CCGs. Its a hard market with a ton of competition. Anyway thanks for the video. You know what BoardMatt? You're the man! haha

Thanks, really appreciate you tuning into our conversations! On your note about retail… I feel bad for people trying to open brick and mortar shops as there’s just SO many costs and SO much uncertainty. The internet at least has less cost

Opening a brick & mortar has to make a profit of bringing people in and buying something. Not necessarily selling cards. Its weird venture 😂
