I think at the very most there should be distant sounds, or even just a glance of something, every now and then. Just something to play with your mind a little, but something that never materializes. I do agree, though, that having a monster running around cheapens the experience.

I half agree. I do think there shoud be monsters, otherwise it'd lose the fear factor once you found out the truth that nothing happens. However, the enemies should be a rare occurrence so that only a few lucky (unlucky?) Individuals should encounter. That way, you'd leave people constantly on the edge while being there, even if they'd spend quite some time without anything happen, because they'd know that something bad CAN happen, they just don't know when, where and what.

I absolutely loved this video. The Poolrooms are definitely my favorite part of the Backrooms as a whole, and I really like seeing people give it attention. I want to provide some fair criticism on something, that being audio. I feel like the intensity and envelopment is slightly lost in this video because the sounds don't match. We don't hear our protagonist splashing through the water, their footsteps echoing throughout the infinite 'empty' hallways and their labored breathing as they climb a ladder, or crawl through a tight squeeze. I think this could easily be top tier content with some audio enhancements. With all that in mind I don't mean it in any offense. These video could be extremely laboring to make, and audio work is especially so.

I remember visiting a few locations as a child like public pools and other spots that had the same texture as this, and one time there was this mirror on the wall and there were three of them in one square room, and I remember looking through one that created the illusion that the room had an infinite amount of copies. Thank you for making a back rooms video that does not include an entity. If you read the descriptions of these levels, they are millions of square miles in area each, and encountering anyone is extremely unlikely - with most wanderers dying from starvation and dehydration without meeting any other creature, not from an eviscerating attack from a skin stealer, a smiler, or God only knows what. But a lot of content creators feel that going through all the work to render convincing 3D models and scenes of the back rooms is wasted without some sort of spine tingling soul thirsty monster giving chase. Thank you for resisting that impulse.

Whenever I see these they make me feel very nostalgic. They are supposed to of been recorded in the early 90s. Everything in these just makes me remember that time. The VHS video quality, the old camcorder zoom sound and the surroundings just feeling like it were 1990 or 91. I picture this as an indoor water park that will be full of happy families the next day and you're just walking through doing a check to make sure everything is maintained. These just make me happy. The most promising research we've done so far is analysis of the water acquired from some of the pool rooms.
    Two hydrogen, one oxygen.
    Completely. Deionized.
It won't kill you, but it isn't healthy to drink long-term. Normally used in manufacturing, it's never a question of "if" the system piping it is going to fail, but "when".
The unusual property of backrooms deionized water, though, is that it never gets ionized. It stays deionized, and continues to act that way, taking ions from material around it, breaking it down.
    ...

I've been in pool rooms in some dreams too - the one I remember most vividly kind of looked like the first part of this video, only more luxurious. The water smelled of flowers, petals were floating at the surface, and the tiles formed beautiful mosaics. In a sense it was more of like spa rooms than pool rooms, now that I think about it.

Nothing about this to me is scary/eerie. I genuinely want to visit places like this, either in my dreams or in real life. Now that I think about it...I don't find anything scary about "the backrooms" or liminal spaces, instead, I find them surreal, beautiful locations that I can one day plan on visiting and sparking a blunt around these places

I am incredibly intrigued by architecture and how geometric shapes, lighting, and different colors in architecture affect me psychologically. Something about the way certain buildings, settings, and "places" make me feel has always been so interesting. I love these videos in such a strange way; I guess in the same way I like looking at large cranes and cargo ships and machinery: because it's intimidating. It's like an extension of all the unnerving dream settings you dreamt of as a child. I'd love to learn about the psychology of these kinds of things.

You know.... The old public swimming pool in our town (I'll look to see if I can find photos.) First time I went, my daughter was maybe one. The place was practically empty. Just a couple people pool walking or doing laps.
The locker rooms were down these VERY narrow steps, where the tile was the walls, floors, and ceiling. Very narrow and slippery. That's why I never went back. Those steps, especially carrying a child and large bags of towels, suits, diaper bag, etc... Scared the hell out of me. Gotta see if I can find you a photo.

0:27 I love stuff like this in Backrooms. The Backrooms imitate reality, but get it wrong often, and the same happened with this small detail; This is obviously supposed to be a ladder, but it’s made out of the same material as the walls, and it also seems to have formed into the ledge, which probably makes climbing it a challenge.
The Backrooms understands that there are ladders in pools, but it doesn’t understand what they are actually for. Great work!
