That's so cool. I am using m50 for my channel right now. Trying so many different things but not able to get sharp detail footage. I will definitely use this method that you have shown here. However, I have a few quick questions:
1. How you upscale the footage in 4k?
2. What frames rate and shutter speed you are using on this video?
3. Are you using ND filters on this talking head video?
I will be glad to see your answer. Right now I am using 30mm sigma lens but not able to get sharp footage like the one you are using but haven't tried the custom color profile yet like the one you have shared.

I am on an M6 Mark II hope these settings will apply to that too, btw what you said about the downloaded picture profiles you are damn right I am having a very hard time color grading those and they all look unnatural

Simple tips and explanations. Messing my head considering an upgrade from M50 to Eos R. But now, I realised i need a better lenses and small tweak in my M50 settings. And it is sad that I recorded with standard profiles all this years😭.

5:45 yea same idk why but cinestyle just doesn't work for me but I happened to find a cLog picture profile and with good lighting techniques I was able to get a nice color graded image with little to no artifacts
Lighting is the biggest secret. Master lighting no matter what your camera or lenses.

MK2 has clean HDMI which is a BIG deal for some user's instead of using canon's workaround for clean HDMI. I personally have (3) M50's one being MK! others MK2

Great video and explanation indeed helped a lot🙌 , but may i ask a question. Is the picture profile used to photos as well ? I shoot and edit RAW , so should i be using the default picture profile settings for the photos or the neutral one ? Which one would be better for photos ? Thankyou ❤️
thanks friend! for me i always just left the same setting for photos. i think it all really depends on your style and what you like the look of. if you’re shooting raw photos i dont think the profile settings matter that much. play around with it. but yeah i always just left the same settings.

I've got a Mark ii M50 with the 15-45 kit lens and I also got a 10-18 lens with stabilizer for vlogs. To get some Bokeh, would you recommend that Sigma 16mm f/1.4 to replace one of my lens? I am wanting to go for a slightly more professional (cine) look.
sigma is a great move for the m50. just remember there’s no stabilization in that lens if your vlogging. doesn’t mean you can’t use it but just keep it in mind.

100% I’m interested in the video but the copycat style of mannerisms is hard to get passed.
Maybe he’s not copying and just happens to have every single mannerism of PM, but either way, it’s still hard to watch. Personally I can’t stand watching PM videos either.

you can’t. m50 doesn’t shoot raw.

So you copy And paste the clip that you edit, to all clips,??? And it will give you kind the same color to all the video?
yeah but that’s not a one and done solution. you have to adjust each clip accordingly
