Did you guys know that Lyda Chen is actually Martha's daughter? She had her with her first husband Robert Chen. I think this is a really cool mother-daughter situation to perform together

Martha wasn’t married to Lyda’s father, and Lyda actually spent her first 8 months in foster care.
Martha lost custody of Lyda after her mother kidnapped the child from the foster care structure.
I know this from watching the CZcams documentary “Bloody daughter”

@@maria.4.4.1 I know this now. Lol I was in high school when I wrote that comment. This is from 10 years ago. When I got the notification of your reply, I was so confused about what it was referring to lol.

Yes, that's what it says here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Argerich#Personal_life
This Wikipedia page does talk about "Bloody Daughter," but Wikipedia only mentions Stephanie Argerich, another daughter, with Stephen Kovacevich.

Lyda is so much like her beautiful mother, the two of them together are the music itself, I feel a strong sense of warmth and well-being, no need to play an'y notes.

I don't mind that the piano is very expressive in this performance. Most of the interesting harmonic and melodic stuff is written in the piano part. I like the balance very much here. I wish the last movement was included here. This ends just as they're about to start it.

I don't know enough about the technical aspects or music or its terminology to properly express myself, but I think this a fine example of Schumann's compositional skill. The title suggests something programmatic and obvious, but I don't find it so. Yet the piano of Fr Argerich dominates throughout, when I feel the viola should be speaking. The tempo of the last movement seems less langsam & melancholich than mühsam & trübe. The tempo seems uncertain and the effect vaguely unsatisfying. Why?

Check out Martin Stegner or Tabea Zimmerman's versions. I can't answer your questions without coming across as very catty.
