Lamar definitely has the potential be an all time great. I wish him the best in his career.
But Vick is better tho. I still love Lamar
Thx coming from a raven fan
@@flightphantom5025 yessir
He's gonna end up injured like rg3 dude never knows when to protect himself he takes too many hits
@Miles Romo IDK where dude even pulled that from. Just talking out of his ass
Philly had the most elusive running QB in their linups (3 of them in this list) Cunningham, McNabb and Vick. Now maybe Hurts
Now hurts will for sure be on here
Don’t forget foles massive genitalia giving him a third less which
Lamar may be the running QB GOAT when it's all said and done but Vick was and is the standard that most modern era passing QB are held to. He was on another level and had a swag to boot. The way he would seemingly go from 0-60 in about 3 steps made him a cheat code in a game and in real life. It's a treat to be able to watch all have so many athletic QB's in the current era (Jackson, Watson, Wilson, Newton, Mahomes, Allen) NFL is in good hands
vick has speed but watching lamar is more fun because he has the best jukes in the history of the nfl.
You can say many of the same things about Cunningham. I was lucky enough to see him play - an absolute phenomenon
@@AK-74K I wasn't blessed to watch him live during his prime but from all the tape I've seen, I can agree, he was a QB to behold. Vick had a very prominent cultural impact especially during the early 2000's but Cunningham was a phenom in his own right and era.
@@arjl880 Randall to me is really a bit of a whatif story. Absolutely phenomenal arm talent too and great accuracy once dialled onto a receiver. But with the Eagles he didn't really improve much reading coverages and his coaches really didn't particularly helped him work on that aspect of his game.
@@strollas Vick had his moves too and one can argue that Lamar might actually be faster. For vick, a highlight that stuck out in my mind is a play in his ATL days against the panthers, where he scrambled, nearly baseball slide to ground, right into a spin move, losing the defender in the process. It's hard to describe but I haven't seen anyone else pull that move. But tbh I don't like comparing them because they each had their own style of running, their own instincts, physique and set of skills and they play/ed in different eras. Lamar being younger and having so many examples before him as well as RG3 in the same locker room has the potential to surpass so many of his predecessors while developing his passing game. If his passing game catches up, he can be truly the total franchise QB package.
Steve Young & Russell Wilson better be on here. They’re the smartest rushers of all-time and could gash you for a heartbreaking 3rd down run any time.
Watch the video and find out lol
FRAN TARKANIAN

@@xanderjohnson8629 Tarkanian? You mean Tarkenton? You must be talking about the legendary college basketball coach, JERRY Tarkanian.

I hate getting into debates about who the best scrambling QB is because it’s almost like talking about politics but I’m just glad that they gave the og Fran tarkenton some respect
Kordell Stewart was straight up outrunning safety’s Jesus
Actually I’m dirty Dan
Kordell was ahead his time man I wish could play in today game where he would reach is full potential as a Steelers fan I believe they set him up to fail that why I like today game better in terms of develop talent mainly quarterback now they have more sense to build the offense too there quarterback strengths not trying make them into something there not they did to kordell
the first time I saw Randal take a snap, I jumped out of my chair , YES !!! Phila FINALLY has a quarterback !
I mean we had Jaws at the time tho. There was a QB controversy at first cause they were both great QBs
@@domanddev : they call that an oxymoron. we had jaws, both great QB's
jaws was king of throwing away the ball on 3rd down.
Vermiel got him to the Superbowl and he got 18 of 38 completions, 3 interceptions and 291 yards.
I was SO happy to see him go and for Phila to get a REAL Q.B.
jaws, 20 yard throw, Mike Quick turned it into a 99 yard touchdown.
Randal was completing 30 and 40 yard throws.
In his prime, Cunningham was the most dangerous man in NFL history since Gale Sayers. On top of his athleticism was his unpredictability; you never knew what we would pull out of his hat on any given play. Often on fourth down w/a few yards to go, they lined up in the shotgun like they were going for it and Cunningham would quick-punt it way over the strong safety's head. But sometimes they actually did go for it. The Eagles did the quick-punt just often enough to become known for it, but just seldom enough for it to still be a surprise.
Michael Vick's highlights always and will... bring a tear to my eye👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Crybaby
I'm kidding
FINALLY my man Kordell gets talked about
He was an animal at times
Korbel loved throwing ints in the big games

I'm glad we got Mobile QB they make it so excited and fun I mean who doesn't watch highlights of Cam,Vick, and Russell Wilson

Bobby Douglass is another great one. Had a shirt career as a starter though but he ran for 900 yards in 1971 for the Bears.
948 yards in 14 game season. Record stood for 14 years. Nobody ever mentions that.
@@clarkhull7546 I was going to, but you guys beat me to it. ;) Plus, like Lemar (to date and others), a lot of Douglass' runs were designed plays, not scrambles. He was a big, athletic QB. Not that accurate a passer though.
I thought it was 968 though (not that it matters. Your probably right.).
Damn how can we forget about him and I did to my bad he was a beast too
Steve youngs runs still give me chills

1. Not a long career
2. Political issues

Colin Kaepernick still holds the record for most rushing yards by a QB in the SuperBowl in NFL history and still holds the record for most rushing yards by a QB in an NFL playoff game.
I thought maybe kaepernick would be on the here
Kyote Windom wait he isn’t 😐🥴
Kaepernick was the fastest QB I've ever seen in a straight line, but the dude was pretty much the opposite of elusive. He never made a lot of people miss, and if anyone got a finger on him he was going down.
Kyote Windom I think the nfl wants to erase him from history lol
@@noshut yeah. The NFL has a history of doing that with controversial players. See how they did OJ Simpson when they did the top RBs during last years ceremonies. They put him on the list, but rarely said his name smh.
No matter what he did after retirement, he was still one of the greatest to ever play the position.
This video was clear and concise. Nice effort.
Going back to my childhood, a running QB was my favorite part of football.
From QB club to NFL Game Day to 2k to Madden, I always loved to run with the QB and forcing opponents to stop me.
Damn i miss Pat Summerall's announcing. He was was calm cool collective and when he got excited he jus raised his voice that lil bit and he pulled you into the game.
Oh my god him & madden were everything
Lamar jackson played in 14 games in 2019. Led the nfl in passing td's and set the rushing record for a qb. Also completed 66% of his passes and led the league in ypc. Just in case you didn't know the dude can ball. In full 16 games he throws for for 40+ td's and approaches 1500 rushing. Oh and his first full season as a starter.
best qb season ever...
ezekwu 🤦♂️😂
I thought he played 15?
@@wdm_maps He didn't play the 4th quarter against Miam,i St Louis, Houston and Cincinnati. In those games he was absolutely unstoppable running or throwing the football so I'm pretty sure his numbers would have gone up significantly playing the 4th quarter of those games.
@@wdm_maps So he didn't play 8 quarter of f football
@NFL Throwback
Thank you for this fun video 😄
This is so awesome man...from Philly, so I've been spoiled. Who knows, maybe Hurts will add to that list for me. Great stuff, peace.
Everybody mentioning Kap, what about RG3?
That’s what I’m sayin.
unfortunately, RG3 lost most of his scrambling ability (and willingness) after FedEx field pasteurized his leg
The media won't tell you Cam had to run more because of lack of talent around him and oline being so bad. Funny how they start to talk about it after the Kyle Allen hype and fail😂🤷♂️
Great video
Glad this list started with Kordell. I was going to middle school in Boulder when he was QB for the Buffaloes, I was happy to see him have success in the pros despite him playing for an AFC rival to the Broncos.
Steve Young almost pulled a Daniel Jones on that one run
Them ghost are everywhere 🤣😭
As an eagles fan I laughed my ass off on that play. Giants fans probably lost their cool. Never turn and look unless your Usain bolt.
This is a good list of elusive QBs but I gotta go with Mike Vick man...no disrespect to LJ8 but Vick was the most explosive athlete on the field most times the way he would cut through those defenses was unreal. Could you imagine being a defender and the guy that you would fear to tackle in open space was a QB...Vick had that kind of fear factor
Kid Lightning he was till he went to prison then fell off a little bit
@@codyyellott117 Of course bro he wasn't close to being the same guy he was...but that stretch with the Falcons he was MVP caliber
Mike Vick had his best season with the Eagles. Look at the stats

Too late.
Thanks for the positivity! I wish the same for you.
OOOOHH!!! HE BROKE HIS ANKLES!
Im a simple man, I see NFL Throwback post, I click
Great list. "Slash" was very underappreciated. Put some true gems in there. I have no arguments with any of it.
NFL films is always good for the 10am naps
Narrator: Michael Vick is the all time running QB goat!
Lamar Jackson: I'm gonna end this man's career.
Vicks scrambles were organic and raw. He was so explosive and fast. He’s my favorite.
Lamar the truth , it’s just that the offense is built around him running.
Randall was something else man. Dude had an absolute cannon too. If he had anyone other than Buddy Ryan for a coach he could have been an all time great.
Enjoyed the video. Great choices, I just wish you had made room to show some love for running quarterbacks of the 70s, other than Tarkenton. Bobby Douglass had that great season in '72, rushing for over 900 yards in a 14 game season. And Roger Staubach was Tarkenton but with Super Bowl rings, averaging 5.5 yards a carry for his career. Both played in the era when quarterbacks running with the ball were frowned upon, particularly by men like Ray Nitschzke, Merlin Olsen, and Dick Butkus.
Fran Tarkenton, still underrated till this day. Would have gotten more recognition with a super bowl victory for sure.
Harry Engel the first
If only he wasn't a QB for the Vikings, that franchise is practically cursed from winning one.
@Harry Engel There is no argument. He is the greatest QB the Vikings ever had.
dddawda ddawda nah there were some in the 30s like Cecil Isbell and then Otto graham in the 50s
Staubach could scramble surprisingly well too
Finally Elway's getting his respect for his scrambling
Hey... he gets the love from those who know.
Finally?
But vick had that sweet throwing motion and an absolute cannon to go with it. Yea I had the shoes in 05
This so outstanding about all of these quarterbacks being named they played against some damn good defenses to back then when they played
We literally all knew before watching this video that Michael Vick was number 1, seeing someone beat his numbers won't happen, and if someone does, it will take years. Most quarterbacks will never beat him in this category because they don't have the durability to get hit and put up good rushing numbers like Michael Vick year after year.
If Cam is average for 3 seasons and gets say 1,000 more rushing yards and 25 more rushing touchdowns then I’d say Newton will have surpassed him
@@austinreed347 Cam newton doesn't need to run the football anymore, I am concerned about his long term health. Cam in College ran the ball a lot, went to the NFL and he's been hit more than every quarterback in the NFL during his time, cam has the most rushing attempts for quarterbacks.
coo3disk1 those are modest numbers and definitely a step back
coo3disk1 he only runs cause he’s not a great thrower lol and he got no weapons in New England
@@austinreed347 We will see how he does.

This video is gold
Glad to see Steve “Air” McNair
Cam newton is fearless he
Basically ran into JJ watt

Until Ware made him his little b and scared him away from jumping on a fumble.
Nice vid
9:30 it’s crazy how much bigger players are now, the big 250 pounders were the same weight as my hs linebackers, and most of our lineman, including my self were 270 plus
A huge part of me feels like Vick belongs in Canton. His elusiveness and clutch playing skills were second to none. He deserves to be in the HOF at some point in time
Lol
I mean Tory Holt isn’t in the hot
He was soooo bad as a passer and I don’t know what clutch plays you’re talking about other than the long run in it.
Him and Devin Hester can be in the asterisk HOF. Lol. Like guys don't normally go in the hall for purely just being a returner but Hester was so special he deserves a spot. Well Vick gets the same thing for being the level of rushing quarterback he was. Lol.
The asterisk hall of fame. Make it a thing NFL lol
I think it would be awhile before the NFL distinguishes Vick as a H.O.F entry, which is partly attributed to the shame he brought upon himself with the dog fighting scandal and the fact that he did not establish the passing acumen prior to that scandal to justify enshrinement (although his rejuvenated play with the Eagles gives an overall HOF candidacy merit). Simply put: Vick was a transcendent player who truly embodied the style of play that is now prevalent in today's NFL. I wish him the best!
17:03 Bro what a legendary block by Steve smith , like can we just take a short second to appreciate a hall of famer at work 💪🏽
Dude took 3 Falcons out on one play. You can see that cam hesitated so Smith would be able to apply the block
I remember when Vick split those two Viking defenders n tackled each other, to run it in for a touchdown n win the game, I just jumped up n was like get tf out of here, might be top 10 greatest plays ever in my opinion, just the setting n time n game winner as a qb, wow
How can anyone 👎 this video? Well done putting it together👍
Russell Wilson has the best scramble yards🤟🏾
Kaizaro123 Well I been a seahawk fan for like 3 or 4 or 5 years and I been seeing Russell scrambling and even I saw a play where russell Wilson had his first catch and I just be seeing russell Wilson scramble
Kaizaro123 yea ok but i will always be a seahawk fan

Cam Newton’s greatest run is against the patriots when he kept running around breaking everyone’s ankles
Thank you for mentioning kordell stewart. He always gets forgotten
Let's not ignore how 🔥🔥🔥 all the uniforms used to be.. Old eagles, Oilers, Patriots and Steelers so sick and nostalgic
1:20 defense didn't even try tackle him smh
true but understanble. 4th quarter of a divisonal playoff game and the pats were gassed out. Cardio wasn't emphasized as much during that era but brute strength
Did I just hear Tom Brady's name in a rushing video? 🤣 🤣
Probably all QB sneaks
Pretty sure Michael Vick’s 40 time with 11 people trying to tackle him was better than Tom Brady’s in the combine
Kap and Vick could be mentioned at least. and maybe he didn't have all the stats and the rings and the moves, but Andrew Luck was a really great running qb for a big lumbering type of guy.
Great video!! Cam is a super freak but he only cares about Cam
"Oh!!!! He broke his ankles!!!!!" The rush this phrase gives me is just motivating for some reason 🔥🔥🔥
i've watched that clip over 50 times since that game aired. i still get goosebumps
Russell Wilson is too low. I don’t even like the dude but gota respect his game dude is a baller
What is there not to like about him other than him being a SIMP?
I always knew Fran Tarkenton as the bad hair guy from “That’s Incredible”
That 2010 season with the Eagles was legendary . Esp that comeback against the Gmen
Just remember, Daniel Jones stumbled his way to the ground, also stumbling his way out of the record books.
Lamar, has a lot of potential
Madden curse: that's very cute
Patrick Mahomes: Shut up
Mahomes did pretty well last year.
Football practice is now in session and watching film is a huge part of that

3 eagles Qb's I'm ok with that 😄
Maybe that’s why it took the eagles so long to win a super bowl 😂

yup. good ol days watching the bust and kordell.
Did I miss the Bears Bobby Douglass I think he might have led the League in rushing for most in a single season. I'm not sure it but I he ran for 972 yards ? Very Nice post !
Having Jackson over Fran Tarkenton is absolutely absurd in my opinion. I get it, but I also don’t at the same time.
Hey I respect your opinion. But if you swap both quarterbacks and put each one in the others time frame, who do you think would be better 🤔 ijs food for thought 🤔
Not running backwards
Crazy he said McNair was the best quarterback in titans history like warren moon doesn’t exist😒
Moon didn't run like these guys and was a much, much better passer than most on the list.

Technically moon never played for the Titans , now in franchise history yes Warren Moon
He said titans history not oilers history
McNair took them to a Superbowl and wuz co-MVP with Manning
Y'all forgeting that man that was big in the pocket, Randy Moss mate, the Big Fellah Dante Culpepper! In a 5 year period from 2000- 2004. He avg 85 rushes, 464yards, 5.5 per rush , and 5td's. He had a short shelf life because injuries but this dude was a Tight end in a quarterbacks body. Very powerful.
Randall Cunningham also is tied for the 3rd longest punt in NFL history...92 yards. Quite the talent.
