      About 39 yrs ago I crossed hills which can be seen in this view at 1:40 in an automobile; Later I would ride as passenger on this approach daytime▬really taken with power back somewhere 100 miles out then "efficient glider" all the way to flare which only from the air can one realize how extensive LA Metropolitan area actually is

    Well this comes 4 years after the fact but just so I know I'm right with my assumption......the plane landed on the North side(Rwy.24L & R) and taxied around the back to the South side(Rwy.25L & R)?? And I love the shots of the 3 A-380's you passed while taxiing to the terminal(Asiana, Quantas, and the tail of the China Southern parked at one of the terminals at Tom Bradley).

    • @MichaelBSteeleAviation
      @MichaelBSteeleAviation  Před rokem +1

      You would be correct. We landed in RWY 24R taxied around the back. One of my favorite things about LAX is all the wide-bodies especially all the a380’s.

    • @MichaelBSteeleAviation
      @MichaelBSteeleAviation  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes this was inbound from Hawaii.
      You come in off the coast around the Ventura / Oxnard area going downwind from LAX. (Still flying east) Then they turn 180 over the Downtown LA area to pick up the landing pattern. Now you’re flying towards the west.
      Early morning arrivals (before day break) from Hawaii though will come in directly off the ocean to LAX.
