Fuel Injector Replacement / Misfire Fixed (K7 GSX-R1000)

- Fuel rail removal and replacement of the top four fuel injectors on a 2007 or 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000. This repair fixed a bad low-end misfire (below 8k RPMs) by rotating the bottom fuel injectors with the top fuel injectors,to be sure the problem was coming from the bottom injectors, and then replacing the bad injectors that were moved to the top.
NOTE: The wire connectors are much more difficult to remove on the bottom injectors than the top ones. I demonstrate the easiest way to disconnect them on my PC5 install video linked below:

Bout to buy a 14 1000 tht misfires at 4k and is gtg at 8rpm+ I watched this and it fixed it! Ty for sharing and tht little switch the tip n bottom .it seemed fine after swapping the top n bottom but still bought new injectors and gtg now thanks again bro ride safe!

You can use a JIS screwdriver for the "philips screw". JIS is the japan "almost philips", if those are JIS screws than using a philips bit will strip them off. All the best!
Yeah exactly this, idk why people that work on bikes often seem like they don't know about JIS
@@IN_ZANE_ I forgot about the Japanese Philips, never owned a set myself, maybe I should add that to my collection. Anyway the point I was just making in the video was that if someone before you already chewed the crap out of them, you could use a dremel tool to salvage them so you didn’t have to hunt for new ones online. They are a specific screw machined with a spacer, so kind of hard to find.

Looks like he only has 4 left. If you need 4 more, you'll have to buy them from another vendor, just make sure it says "OEM".

Im about to change mine out on my k8 1k and looking at buying some from eBay for 150$ for the set… is that not a good idea?
@@cotybechtel3466 That's what I paid for a set of 4 OEM injectors that were sonic cleaned and tested from eBay. So far they have been working great!
** EDIT - nevermind, i just saw your PC5 video.. so the middle injector is quite hard to reach. thanks for your video, i got PC5 hooked to my bike too.
can you make a video on getting those lower injector connector. i'm having problem to take out the wire connector since the clip is too tight on the lower injector. i'm afraid i might strip the wires out. do you have any special tools or something to do it. i have same bike as yours.
