    Oh Finally! I found a way to do this or that!

    Pack node was a cherry on top. I had tried other ways with the connectivity node. Super tutorial man! Learning lots here!

    YES! That pack node at the end to separate all the geometry and import into C4D is all I needed! Thank you so much! Keep up the fantastic work!

    Thank you for the amazing tutorial, Nick! Just want to point out, that you can use simple POP Wrangle with similar code:
    float mask = point(0, 'Cd.r', @ptnum);
    if (mask > 0.1){
    @group_activated = 1;
    }
    and don't forget to specify the SOP path in the Inputs Tab.
    Instead of another SOP solver inside the existing Vellum solver.

      aah, alright, thats good to know! But will it pick up the animation? I thought that inside vellum solver doesnt get what updated in the sop level.

      @@nickmedukha Yes, it will pick up the animation!

    Love the tutorial! I seem to get stuck with an issue that I havent managed to solve yet. Where your transition attribute inflates the object gradually, mine will just suddenly inflate completely. When the transition atribute travels through one of the torusus for example, it will inflate as a whole, not gradually from left to right. What might I be doing wrong? thanks a lot!!

    For those who can't get the animation to work, make sure your colors are white and black. No other colors would do the job.

    can I ask why you dont render with octane/redshift inside of houdini? why the extra step with c4d?

    • @nickmedukha
      @nickmedukha  Před 2 lety +1

      As i said, its faster for me to export and set the scene in c4d, especially tweak the complex materials

    Actually, when I cannot do something, I start by checking if Nick already made the solution for it
