    Hi mommy Choco gusto ko din po ulit itry Yan bistek Tagalog ask ko lang po kung ano pamalit sa dark soy sauce, ? Iba pa po ba Yung soy sauce? Sana mapansin

      @mommychoccokusinerangbulakenya  Před rokem

      Hi Rachel! Yung dark sweet soy sauce ay medyo malapot ang consistency kumpara sa regular soy sauce na ginagamit natin. May available nyan sa mga groceries, lee kuam kee ang brand pero kung wala kang makita okey lang gamitin yung regular soy sauce.

    May want to note how high the burner is set
    Based on my wife's cooking, filipinos WAY over cook their meat. Takes out all the taste. Not sure about this specific recipe, just in general. So I'm going to try and make it.

      I love the brown sugar idea. This is the first Bistek recipe I've seen someone using it. BRAVO! I add brown sugar to my adobo to offset the saltiness. My kids love it. They say mine is better than their Filipina mother haha :-) (actually the same but different but at least the chicken isn't all dried out!)

      @mommychoccokusinerangbulakenya  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi! Just sear the beef over medium-high heat on both sides. You've absolutely on point, My mother is the same, she used to overcooked porkchops so much they reduced in size at least 60%. Because in my country, they have a notion that anything with a hint of pink flesh is still considered undercooked and is not safe to eat. Even most restaurant that includes steak in their menu always cook them well done, unless otherwise specified.

    • @mommychoccokusinerangbulakenya
      @mommychoccokusinerangbulakenya  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Some of my recipes include a small amount of sugar to balance the salty and tangy flavors of the dish with a hint of sweetness. I also add a little sugar in my adobo to cut a bit of the acidity of the vinegar and it gives a thick, rich sauce that pools around the chicken.
